Haven't heard yet. Sometime between now and December.... LOL.

What I've heard is coming won't shock anyone, but it should be a very good thing. When I know more definitively on timing I'll give ya'll a heads up, even if I can't say what it is. Or maybe it'll come out on it's own..... who knows..... what a crazy day.
Wild guess: info on leases / options

Well that is interesting. It is showing my GT as an order versus showing as a reservation if I go in the normal method through the My Account link.

I still can’t get into the owner site. However, not only did I get an email from Ford about the price drop, but I also got an email from Ford about the new Sync 4a. I hadn’t heard a peep out of anyone at Ford unless it was over the phone to an exasperated woman at a contracted marketing agency or a slightly apathetic dealer. Now, I get two emails in one day. “Mortimer-We’re Back”. I have a feeling information is going to be flowing a little more freely in the coming months. I am one of the disappointed Mach Droppers, but honestly we shouldn’t complain. We are still getting more for less today. The other thing we have to remember is that this COVID environment has completely changed the landscape from when these prices were established a year ago. I wouldn’t be surprised that outside of the margins, a lot of people are looking to cut costs wherever they can. In the best case voluntarily but for the unfortunate that cut is not voluntary.

No, at least for those of us in the USA, if you haven’t already converted your FE Reservation to an Order --- you don’t have either a reservation or an order.

These FE’s will be going down the assembly line in about 21 days at the most.
Not really true that you don't have either...
I haven't converted my FE reservation to an order, but I did get an email today and if I access Ford's website from the link they switched my reservation to a premium (which I noticed awhile ago). So if you didn't do anything with a FE reservation they switched it (at least mine) to a premium reservation.

PS: I would still prefer a FE (well, maybe not at the $3200 instead of $1200 price difference ($400 savings on pain)), but not willing to commit to an order for that much without an in person view (test drive preferred) of the vehicle (even different trim would be ok).

Interesting ! I did not know they were converting those to Premium reservations.
Does it still have your initial FE reservation date on it?

officially they were sold out, then suddenly the Drop thing happened, and now they are sold out again. or something, I dunno, it got a little confusing to me in there.

there's of course people cancelling their orders but at some point, you'll have Ford ordering n First Edition nameplates etc., and that's going to be the high end. They don't have to use them all, though. So... ?‍♂
I think its because an unexpected pandemic hit after the FE's were sold out. I think many of those people wouldn't have ordered in the first place if the Mach-E was revealed in May or something.

As someone without a dog in the fight (GT order), I’ll chime in on the debate as to whether this is unfair to those who pre-ordered the FE.
I do see that this would be unfair if Ford did not allow order changes now. I can understand that many (If not most) are buying the FE as a Premium Plus and, in deciding which to get, they assessed that the “Plus” was worth the $1,600. Now that calculus is messed up when the Plus turns out to be $3,600 and you’re locked in to the FE you wouldn’t have picked had you known you could order the Premium for $3,600 less.
However, Ford is allowing FE holders to change to a Premium. So you have the option to either save $1,000 on the FE price you thought you’d pay or, if you think the business case is more favorable for the Premium now that it has dropped another $2,000, you can switch to that configuration.
Therefore it’s a win-win. You either save $1000 on the same car or can save even more if willing to forgo those “Plus” items that you don’t feel are worth that difference.
Maybe it makes the decision to buy an FE and the justification for paying the premium for it harder... but you still have the option to save some or save more.

Not sure what Ford is thinking? Raising the price by $2,000 for FE red calipers, red/blue stitching and door sill plates, to $3,600! The confusion and the lack of straightforward communication has made me reconsider doing business with Ford. I have owned 3 Tesla’s and ordered 2 Mach E’s (one premium and one FE) and was excited about a new perspective from Ford. Now, with VW, Volvo and others entering the market, my options are expanding.
At this point, what we need is direct communication from Ford with a sensible pricing program!
By all means go buy one of the other cars. I'll just get my car that much sooner!

I'm starting tag Ford people on Twitter and other social media about the price cut difference fro Premium vs FE. Maybe someone made a mistake or maybe it is intentional. Either way, I'd like to know.
Just don't have it backfire and for Ford to cut the Premium discount from $3000 -> $1000. We here with premiums will be bringing out the pitchforks ? ? :p

More likely , they would just see a massive decline in FE orders and be forced to discount the FE by $3000 more, and so the price difference would be $600 instead of $3600... (after everyone switched).

. Another good read for everyone. The concept goes with the Mache as well. Don't wait to get your order done.

If the volume of orders mentioned elsewhere on this website is accurate, it's the same situation and a double edged sword for both Ford and the buyers. Everyone is expecting a 2021 MME. For most, that means sometime in 2021. Some folks will wait for a 2022 model but may not be willing to wait until late 2021 (a year or more from now) or into 2022 for the car. Others won't wait for a 2022 model at all.

A lot more communication from Dearborn on production scheduling is desperately needed. Without some real information, the article you cite is quite accurate, "There’s a dicey component to intense interest in a vehicle — it can fade as quickly as it builds,"
