I'm hungry. I want my tacos NOW!The First Edtion Mache was always getting manufactured first. No matter what the number was or is. So when customers go from any model to the FE, they are now slated to get one of the first Mache made.
The demand for the Mache is crazy high. True order bank? I don't know but too many co-workers have said it's over 60,000 and ford my friend at the plant say they keep hearing 80,000.
That is why I keep saying if you want a Mache better order it now then later. The line is getting long.
In the conference call today, the talk about china asking, begging, trying to find an away to get some Mache over there this year (not happening). The demand for Mache in Europe also far exceeded expectations.
Example................ You're at your favorite band's concert. It's outside and there are so many food trucks lined up. They re all serving Street Tacos, but each one is a little different. So you hurry and get in line to bet the rush. Minutes later each food truck is slammed with people and long lines. You my friend was early and are upfront and about to get your food. But what do you see...... The food truck next to the one you're in line for has just put up a sign saying his tacos are now buy one get one free.
Your like man cant beat that. Do you go to the front of the other line are to the back?

They can't by themselves but there are some crazy tow trucks in DC that can pull a car sideways out of a spot to tow them away
Any updates on expected OKTB date? Still Nov 23 (-ish)? And no customer units (or even FCTP) leave the plant until OKTB?
It depends on when it goes into the scheduler. Before a scheduling cutoff reservation date determines order. After they have already scheduled a bunch of cars I don't think it can jump the line. It falls under "you snooze you lose".
Some people won't get a build date or Vin for a while. They are that far away. It has to go by when we all ordered our Mache.@trutolife27 Are there any plans that you're both aware of and free to comment on regarding if we'll actually be getting something resembling a production schedule for our cars? I understand that right now that's not possible, but if there really are 80,000 cars on order a lot of folks can be waiting for an extremely long time without a word. That will leave more than a few going to the dark side.
There has been so much speculation - can you guess when we’d hear confirmation from the dealer that a FE Mach drop order is confirmed and when we/they should cancel our original premium order? All the dealer says is the order was placed. Are we talking on or about mid-October for this news?
Reason why I ordered a Premium today (I'm in no hurry and would like it to show late next summer or later).
Do we know when that reservation cutoff date is?
Supposedly there was one in August, but that may have slipped to September. It also depends on if you are talking about First Editions, Premiums, or others. We definitely passed the revised-again First Edition date, except for the Mach Drop (maybe?). There are lots of details we just don't know for sure.
Personally I neither need nor want an exact date. Ford has its cutoffs, and so do I. It'd just be nice to have an idea of whether we're going to be waiting another 8 months or another year or longer for non-gt's.
Here is all I want to know. I don't want or need to know right now the exact date my car is arriving. I can wait on that. ALL I want to know is if the plan is that all First Edition cars will arrive before the end of the year. That's it.
