Can Ford Please Chime in on Price Protection?

Hey @Ford Motor Company, what is the official price protection policy for the Mach E?

My dealer does not seem to know, and they are planning to just go with their preferred interpretation. I have seen plenty of information here in the forums, but I some direct-from-the-source information would be helpful. Something that is definitive and not open to interpretation.

1. If I ordered a 2022 Mach E in October 2021, am I eligible for price protection or are you going to squeeze an extra 2 grand out of me after waiting half a year?
2. Also -- if I am eligible -- please give me an official Ford contact or document that will clearly explain this to my dealer.

@Groktopus , I’d be more worried about the below increase if they won’t lock you at your reservation/accepted price point.

For me, it’s pretty close to 13% total if they try to apply to mine that was ordered in Oct 21 and is on the rail now. Not saying it will happen, but I’m already fighting the first price increase because dealers are confused. Great first Ford buying experience!!!!!

Hmmm... it says US orders only. Has anyone seen anything similar for other countries (in my case, Canada, but I'm sure there are people in other countries that would like to know, too)?

Right, I think this is in relation to the new increase -- I'm referring to the previous increase that added $2k to my reservation already, not the April increase. I ordered in Oct. 2021.

This is great! But I know the next question is going to be something along the lines of: "where did you get that? Who wrote this? Where is the official version from Ford available?" Is there some official place I can access this document? Or perhaps a document with some letterhead and contact info showing?

Wouldn't the next statement from the dealer be, "thanks for providing this. We have a person/department that gets these communications from Ford, and will go find ours right now so we can provide you with the proper service. We don't want to cross-examine you and show how we're f'in incompetent".

And no, you're not going to get any contact information or anything more official than this. You're simply wasting your energy asking for it. You can go through 50 car/truck forums and you will never see Ford official say anything beyond - "please DM us your ....".

I just provided this for the poster’s information. My car is due next week. Went in Friday and began financing process. No issues. Salesman had the folder with my order, actually brought up PP himself, and I will be first Ford Options customer. They had to do some digging but no big deal on that either.
