My theory is that since this feature is subscription based, it needs server auth to finalize it and that part hasn’t been pushed out to all VINs yet

You'd think though that if they issued a broad announcement to everyone that these updates were now available at your local dealer, they'd have the backend stuff sorted out.

I'm not doubting you - I bet you're right, but then why tell people they can go get this done?? Sigh. I've been pretty patient with all this car's growing pains, but this one is particularly annoying.

Ford didn't announce it to owners. It was reported on here that notification was scheduled to go out today, but I haven't received anything.

Not in early access, still at 2.3.0 (car says 2.1.0 but I have Tiles) and I really don't care if I ever get BlueCruise. I'm such a Luddite

What dealer did the update? Mine is at the dealer today. As of 2 pm all updates are done but they are not seeing the options they are expecting. Have a call into Ford.

I just changed my vote, but as per the 21G01 thread, my non-EA Job 1 vehicle officially has FDRS-installed BlueCruise. no dealership required

McGrath Ford in Hiawatha Iowa. Took a looooong time. He said the module updates kept failing and had to be restarted. I wonder if some dealers aren’t catching those errors and are just forging ahead.

my car was at the dealership for 2 days and I had to pick it up. They said it kept failing and they didn’t know what was wrong but they would keep trying, but I needed the car back. Now the car is a little off withcertain features taking it back Monday to leave fingers crossed

What I hear from Dutch (Europe) FDRS Mach E friends : the early cars require a lot of updates and ..... some of them need constant attention (for hours) to press a button, prevent screensaver or what not in order to make it commence. So dealers can not just start the process and return a couple of hours later to check. I guess this is in contrast with what most dealers do : handle a lot of customers at the same time.

@Somnus verified that FDRS had no pending updates (thanks!), and my Connected Services has Blue Cruise (!)

The Connected Services page may be the simplest way for people that brought their MME into the dealer to see if people are good to go before they pick it up...
