Hi All, I got the tracking number from Ford Live Chat and called the number to get more information for tracking purposes. "Railcar # TTGX706968 (Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway Co ) Ramp 6M, Argentine, KS."

When I called CSX and got additional tracking information, they mentioned Birmingham, AL as the destination on March 16th at 2:18 PM. Did my Mustang go from Mexico to Alabama, or did it go from Mexico to Kansas City? This is just confusing for me, and I'm trying to coordinate the delivery with my work schedule (I travel a lot for work). PalsApp tracking showed this:

My delivery window is April 15th-21st in the Houston area. I just found it odd that the Mustang would go from Kansas City to Birmingham, AL and then head west to Houston. Or maybe it went from Mexico to Alabama which would be even stranger... I'm honestly hoping my delivery is delayed slightly until April 22nd due to a bonus check on the way and a weekend to pick up on an off day.

I'll bet they said Birmingham MO. It's the Kansas City yard. That's the place that your car gets off loaded to the leg of the journey which normally is a rail carrier. Use the ordertrack.app and see if at the bottom it says delivered. That would mean you are in line to catch the next train. Good luck.

Texas to KC MO by rail, then Trucked to KC KS (Argentine ramp) then reloaded on rail for Texas.

My window was (and still is) March 24-30. Both Ford and dealer confirm it is sitting in a transfer yard in Jacksonville since 3/10. Per Ford - The carrier (CSX for Florida) estimates it will leave JAX on 4/15. We will see.

New update - car made it to Miami yesterday. Only 20 miles away. However, Ford CS still shows 4/27 delivery in their system. Tracker still says 3/30. Dealer says can get is in one day once notified. Fingers crossed we can get this done this week!

So my experience with the dealer has been a hybrid of all your experiences. First he claimed the $750 was a rebate to make up for the price increase. I explained I had an email giving me the $750 dated well before the December price increase, and they were two different issues. Even after I provided him the PP memo (thanks, Cliff), he said he "couldn't find the $2000 price protection in the system," but that he had a call in to his rep. Just got a call from him saying he talked to the Ford rep, who confirmed they will get the $2000 back in 45 days. BUT, he said I will be charged the original order MSRP PLUS $750, and then I'll get a $750 rebate, bringing the price back to the original MSRP. I know it's BS, and that the dealer will pocket the $750 as additional profit, but I guess I can live with that.

Yeah I saw the date change on mine too in Ford's site. Just got this email:

Your vehicle’s previous estimated delivery range of April 10, 2022, and April 16, 2022, has been updated to between May 1, 2022, and May 7, 2022.

Talked to my salesman earlier and he said it's still on schedule, so any day now. I've been tracking it and it's here in Atlanta. It arrived on Saturday.

But when i track that railcar it says it’s been “released by the customer” on march something in Michigan, which is nowhere near KC or KTP. My hypothesis is that they assigned a railcar to us but it is not actually in service yet (so still stuck at the original rail yard), and that probably explains why it has the location when it was last in service.

I think I figured it out. Instead of the CSX tracking number, call the Norfolk Southern number @ (800)635-5768 and see what location they give you instead. I received my railcar number for the MME today and it says it's in KC as of April 11th.

You're amazing, and you were correct! My car is on a flat bed in Alvin, TX as of 3 AM on April 12th!!!! Alvin is South of Houston and I'm West of Houston, so I'd imagine I get the call any day now that my car is ready to be purchased. My delivery window was April 15th to the 21st, so right on time. So excited!
