Mine went into delay status today. Frustrating. Was held at the factory for more than a month now delayed further in transit.

My wife ordered an Escape at the end of Feb. She took delivery today.

I think it is a supply chain delay with the final carrier. There is such a shortage of truckers, and more quit daily. The carrier (United Road) has assigned a load order number to my delivery, and I look at it as they process these in order of priority.

CSX is the rail, United Road is the carrier. JAX Moncreif yard has more storage than MIA. When my load number is closer, they will send the car from JAX to Miami - 1 day of travel. Its probably another week before my number comes up. It's all connected (intermodal).

Frustrating because I already sold my ID.4 earlier yesterday after chatting with Ford and them confirming that it would be here this week. Now I have no car for a month or longer. My build date was 2/5. The dealer has another order that was built mid March that is now going to be there before mine.

Same for me, but my est. delivery date is unchanged at 3/30. Frustrating to say the least!

And... when I spoke.to my dealer, he said VVR is not scheded to UPDATE my status until 4/15. They are even delaying status updates now!

Mine is one railcar and one truck away - 2 days max. But 4/15-30 delivery. No drivers!

I am so pissed off right now. My original delivery date was in March. Now we are in May at the earliest. Everything looked like we were on track for this week. I wound up selling my trade based on the timeline and literally hours after Ford bumped me. That's frustrating but not enough to be upset over. What really upsets me is that I ordered on 8/20/21 for a 2021 model year. At the time Ford had a $2,500 options rebate in place and a 2.25% rate. Ford rolled me to a 22. My order date updated to 9/27/2021. On that date there was no incentives for the 2022. Since that is the new incentive protection date I am essentially unprotected to changes in incentives. The options bonus cash has now been reduced to $500 and the rate has increased to 2.74% So basically my reward for being jacked around by Ford for months is pay $2000 more for the car and more for the financing. But the dealers are the crooks right? I should have bought a Tesla at least they honor their word. I am so pissed I dont even want the car anymore. I'm still going to buy it, but i am immediately selling it, I have been a Ford supporter for 25 years and never expected this treatment.

Ford chat rep told me that the delivery date was moved out a week. 30 mins later my dealer calls me and said the car got delivered. Don’t wanna give anyone false hope, just sharing my experience here.

Ford chat rep told me that the delivery date was moved out a week. 30 mins later my dealer calls me and said the car got delivered. Don’t wanna give anyone false hope, just sharing my experience here.

You are indeed right. The dealers ofter are the first to know any updates. But, using chat or CS is often easier than tracking down the dealer and their data is not too far behind.

Frequently calling the dealer could tip off your excitement, giving unscrupulous dealers the upper hand when negotiating extra fees, price protection, add ons, etc.

Oh yes, definitely. I also bugged the chat reps a lot more than I did my dealer Just wanted to let folks know that the dealers and the chat reps are equally blind to the process lol. Hope yours get delivered soon!

Mine is currently in the shop getting ceramic coated and front windows tinted. There’s a heat wave the past few days out here and I could definitely feel it through the front windows, the glass roof not so much.

Just curious about the glass roof…for those of you who ordered that option, especially those of you in southern states like Florida, how is the heat/ sun brightness factor on sunny days? I specifically avoided that option because I don’t believe that the option has a shade to close it.

I have panoramic roofs in other cars and it’s really beneficial to be able to close with the shade on sunny and hot days (I am in NC but used to live in FL). Thoughts orfeedback?

The gklass filter out the bad ev rays and it does not create a heat issue.
