Looks like more people from the 4/18 group are passing us and getting built messages. I don’t get it.
I am a member of the 4/18 build week crew. Mine and others are stuck at 'In Production' since 4/20, 4/21. Modules listed in my case Qty. 1006. Saw a posting that they had idled the plant for a parts shortage ( no details) late last week.

I’m still stuck in Production 12 April. Last update from Dealership was “To Storage”. Not looking good.

I just chatted with Ford.com (said 34 people ahead but it went very quickly, maybe 10 min). I asked about status of my car and was told the following: "your vehicle has been received by a carrier at a ramp location. It was received at Ramp 5J, Lecheria Cuap, EM  on Apr-22-2022. Its current ETA is between May-11-2022 and May-17-2022." I double checked and she said that that ETA is to the dealer. Interesting. So how does one check on the status from this point?

Good for you.... and what status info did you have prior to your call; did you have a " you are built" email, and what was your online order tracking telling you? Do you think they are shipping cars without updating us? It's just so random and weird. My new theory is that the 4/18 people passing some of us have a different build spec. I have a PE AWD Extended (and so do. you) and I'm assuming those being shipped in 4/18 do not. It's flimsy.

You're ahead of me. (We ordered same car, same day, same dealer.)

I just chatted with a rep who again mentioned upfitting. Weird. I heard that from someone a week or two ago, but then other reps I talked to couldn't see that and weren't sure why the rep told me that. Here's what I got today -

"I see that your vehicle currently at our Ford Mexico Cuautitlan Assembly, EM. The vehicle has been sent offsite to a body company (upfitter) for upfit, or to a temporary storage location due to either a transportation or plant hold. I do not see any holds or delays linked to your order so it could be that its at the body company right now. However, its current ETA is between May-11-2022 and May-17-2022 "

I just got off the phone with Ford and their representative told me the same thing you were told. The last update in their system for my California Rt 1 AWD was on 4/20. The update states that the car has been sent offsite to a body company. The representative elaborated further saying the reason could be for upfitting, temporary storage waiting for transport, or for an unspecified plant hold. The only difference is my car's delivery eta is 5/21-5/27(Buffalo, NY).

For reference my car went into production on 4/12

Our cars can not be at a body upfitter they are sent to storage. Why? The recent article said non-chip parts related. How long in storage hold?? These delivery dates are not real. The January build group are just getting their cars (their production dates were in March). At a minimum, we should add three weeks to Fords current delivery estimate they are giving you over the phone. Until cars are really in motion, they are guesstimates. Ford sucks at communicating.

I honestly don’t know whom to believe. Ford.com still says in production (no green check next to built or shipped). The last email I got from Ford was the one that told me my car will be built the week of 4/11. My sticker says batch 5272 and 278/330, for what it’s worth. Is it possible It will be at the dealer in NJ in 2 weeks? Anybody’s guess. But I think there is a way to track progress if it’s on a train I just haven’t paid attention to how to do that.

Well, I am 3 cars away from you in the same batch 5272 281/330, this assumes Ford follows numerical order in their build processes. I have zero info other than my dealer said two weeks ago that I was built around the 13th and he gave me a fantastical delivery date of June 1st (he never said shipped). All other indicators says that my car is still in production and sitting in hold. Ford Authority says there is a production pause. 4/4 cars are almost delivered. Some 4/18 cars are shipped, 4/11 cars are sitting or now moving slowly, someone’s car in the Jan build was seriously damaged in shipping and Farley is saying the production forecast will explode by year end leading into 2023. WTF kind of operation is Ford running? I guess we will see how it wraps up. Go to the Trackers section of the forum; there are tractors to follow your car through delivery.

5/3 Update: got the email from Ford.com a few hours ago saying my car is built and undergoing final inspections to get it ready for shipment. It said to expect delivery at the dealer between May 11-17, which is what the person told me yesterday in my “chat” on Ford.com. HOWEVER, when I click on the link in that email to view my order it now shows as shipped (new since yesterday) with an estimated delivery of 6/29-7/5! Latter seems more realistic but once again, hard to know what to believe given the inconsistencies.

That's awesome. I can't wait to go buy it out from under you when it gets to the dealer before mine! (kidding)

Just got a follow up email from Ford.com (7 hours after earlier email) now saying it’s been shipped and expected delivery 6/29-7/5. Guessing those May dates were overly optimistic.
