Wasn't 2.8.3 the update that was rumored to include remote frunk release?
That was said in a second hand email to someone in Europe. So not that reliable unfortunately.

So glad to see that EA members keep getting showered with updates, while the less fortunate can only dream of such a day.
We’ve also have had updates that haven’t worked. Updates that have stalled out the process, and updates even received more than once. Hopefully, that all means the PowerUp’s will be genuinely ready for the rest of the MME owners.

After sitting at 2.5.2 for about a month, my car (EA Program - Advanced Analytics) received 2.8.2 yesterday.

No notable changes that I can see, yet.

Took my car in for a "parking" system error. While talking to the service manager the BlueCruise update at the dealer is 9+ hours. Yikes!!

and that’s assuming it actually works after 9+ hours.

And just like that, 2.8.3 was pushed out. Again, no noticeable changes.

and, there's been some talk (I don't know who said what where exactly at this point) that 2.8.x is really just cleaned up / improved 2.5.x, meaning that EA folks getting 2.5.x brought up issues that led to 2.8.x being a bit different to avoid those issues. Assuming that's accurate, EA is going exactly how it should be going.

I strongly suspect we're seeing a very deliberate, staged rollout, going in specifically sized waves, for the 2.8.x series.

2.4.x and 2.5.x were both done in a staged way (we can readily infer this from the information presented here on the forum on when people got updates) so all of that tracks.

I agree Michael. We all tend to lose sight of the da t that we’re in the guest year of Ford’s OTA process as well. It’s going to get better I think but will take time to get there.

As for the waves, that’s definitely the car. I’m up to 2.5.3 and haven’t seen a hint of 2.8.2 yet.
