Yeah, I did the chat 2 days ago and the last updated location was Laredo. However, they had a rail car number from which KC southern car it was on… I just checked the ordertrack.app webpage and my vehicle status has changed sometime this morning from “ASN” to ”picked”. I guess that is progress.
Sweet! Just checked order app again after reading your post. Mine changed to picked as well. Earlier this morning it was still asn.

Well Ford chat showed my car is at least getting closer. Last week I was in Laredo Tx. and now it is at Ramp 6R, Richards-gebaur, MO.
It almost home!

Just found out that now my car has to wait for a car carrier to bring the vehicles to the KC Service Hub for loading onto a Norfolk Southern train to Delaware. Norfolk Southern is expecting approx three weeks before it hits Delaware.

Ugh my car has been sitting at Mira Loma since the weekend. It’s about an hour drive to my dealer, what is taking so long!!! It’s so close…and yet so far away ?

I am sure it will move soon, but I understand it will be whenever the dealership has a full cargo carrier load.

I spent the day researching where my car was and how it was going to travel on its next three journeys. Ford chat told where it was as of last night (VVR updates overnight) and from there I checked my vin with jack Cooper (several phone calls worth) and I was told it would travel by car carrier to KC to be loaded onto a N/S auto carrier. One call to N/S got me an expected date of departure and expected date of arrival to Delaware auto port. After schmoozing the girl on the phone at the auto port, she said they use 33 independent contractors to deliver vehicles up to 250 miles from the auto port. (and my dealer is only eight miles away!) and she said cars sit in there lot a max of five days!

Yes this sounds like a lot to go through in one day, but when you work from home and there's nothing to do, I let the boss pay my time for a little (very little) satisfaction today

At this point, I have accepted that this is going to be a terrible ordering experience and am trying to make myself believe that this isn't primarily Ford's fault; however, you can't make me believe that there isn't some kind of profit motive for Ford in a world where people that ordered the same configuration 3-4 months after me are receiving their vehicles while mine sits in Laredo for reasons unknown. If my ownership experience is anywhere close to this bad, I will never do business with Ford again. I have a long memory and my last experience with Ford (late '80's) was awful. Honda/Acura will catch up quickly and they have been very good to us over the last 30 years.

Hopefully all the phone calls yesterday helped move my MME forward because the ordertrack app now shows it made the 31 mile trip to KC as "DELIVERED"

Now to wait for Norfolk Southern to load her up tomorrow for the five day trip to Delaware scheduled to leave KC on 5/18

According to Ford chat, I am in Kansas City ("Internati") so I guess that's progress even though my car is much further from my actual Dealer than it was when it was in Laredo? LOL.

Now just waiting to be unloaded, paired, and dispatched to... Kansas, I think. Then, I assume I am back-tracking to Texas but I have no idea where the rail line stops in Texas for a San Antonio delivery or what happens after that (hopefully truck to the dealer). I'll be pleasantly surprised and elated if I get it before Memorial Day weekend though my target ETA range ends on 5/23.

Just found this guide showing the various ramps and locations if anyone is interested in obsessing about which ramps map to which rail companies. I see all of the ramps I have heard mentioned on this forum listed in there. As I understand it, the Muncie ramp (Kansas) serves Texas so I assume that's where my car goes next. It appears that is a Union Pacific ramp.

I finally have it!!!!! It’s been almost a year! Picked it up last night. 21 miles on it and 30% charged. There is some paint blemish on the driver side bumper that the dealer will need to fix and there was some negotiations with them about all the add ons they tried to sell us on but overall the experience was okay. No markup!

Curious to see if you have any info since I think I am still stuck in Laredo.

Welp,

Got an email last night of new estimated delivery dates of May 27 to June 2. It's strange because it said it's updating from May 2 to May 8 delivery date. 5/2 - 5/8 was never a previous window provided to me. The last dates they sent me were 5/11 - 5/17. Anyway ordertrack shows picked which I believe means it's in KC. I'm hoping it's not really going to take another 2 weeks to move it from the KC railyard to my dealership 10 miles down the road.

Nope. Mine still looks the same as it did when it left Mexico. I am going solely based upon the guidance from the Ford Chat Agent who said my car was at "Internati" in Kansas City. I am still pending ASN and no details in paslapp/reqbin. My window sticker date now reads yesterday's date so i am hoping that means that something is happening (@BalsaDust indicated in a post on another build week chat that they only change the sticker when loading/unloading/etc). I would expect my next step to show a destination of Muncie Ramp in the other Kansas City (Kansas) once I have been picked, paired, and dispatched. Then I should be on a Union Pacific train from Muncie to San Antonio (there is a UP station on the East side of town). It's a bit of a guessing game but I THINK that's what will happen. Hoping to spend Memorial Day weekend "playing" with the car but I am not betting my life on it.

You might want to chat with Ford to get some certainty. Hoping for the best for you!
