Dashcam mode/sentry mode coming?

So is there anyone in here who works at Ford or is in the know that can tell me if/when there may be an update to enable the car to have DashCam/Sentry mode like the Teslas?

That's not announced... that's stay tuned, we'll let you know wtf we might do. Which in this case, is nothing so far.

Well, we did have a 21 page forum thread on that "QA" post, so not sure any of us have "forgotten" I do agree Ford seems to have forgotten most (all?) of the OTA new features that make the car better over time LOL

What’s the point? All the cameras point down because they were designed for 360 view (except the ones used by BlueCruise).

I'd like a dashcam recorder, that would be neat to have. Agree that a sentry-mode would ultimately be of limited utility, mostly for peace of mind.

I'd be fine plugging a usb key into one of the console ports, although ya, slightly unfortunate.

I wouldn't mind the drain, especially if the car had a "disable sentry mode?" prompt like it does for alarms upon exit so I could only enable it when needed (e.g. crowded parking lots).

True, but it would still be useful for front and back, and catching folks dinging your doors with theirs (presuming the front or back catches their license plate).

OTA-updateable features I hope Ford can roll out soon for my 2021 Job2 car (within the next 12 months if they are smart):
1) Front & rear (and side, FWIW) cam capture and remote live-view even at low resolution/fps (whatever the modem can handle)
2) Ability to select 360 view or other camera views during normal driving
3) Automatic lane change (with a flick of the indicator stalk or thru voice) when on BlueCruise
4) Better lane-centering on BC (is currently right-justified)
5) Remove the jarring lurch every time the car comes to a stop
6) Ability to remotely drive the car a short distance in to or out of a parking spot (using FordPass or a remote), say when within bluetooth range
7) A sleeker, more refined and feature-rich Sync4A UI (whatever the Infotainment HW can handle)
8) More performance and range/charging improvements

I have a 2023 on order and was looking at buying a dashcam now (Black Friday Sales) but if Ford turns this feature on thru an OTA update a year down the road, I will gladly wait. Anyway, probably no one knows for sure but thought it would be worth asking
