Hi,
i have a first edition mach e and my car has been at the dealer for 2 weeks, i have secure alert on and they've only opened the door three times in that span. Can you check my vin and see what has been done. Thanks I'm getting very concerned.

Looks like they're working on updates today. They still have a lot left.

From your experience here, are dealers doing those for free? do you have to ask ? I know someone was quoted $1400 to those updates.

Most of those updates are part of 21P22 or 21G01, so they are free. The member that was quoted $1400 wanted updates done that weren't part of any service campaign.

It would be helpful if they followed the instructions for doing updates that require a USB drive, since that's where they are repeatedly failing.

Sorry to bother again, but it looks like they started working on this bright and early, but now I'm getting bombarded with error codes for high voltage battery and powertrain malfunctions. I don't think this is supposed to happen?

I'd start with the GWM first, the CSP 21P22 stuff next, and then the HVAC, and finally the power steering, CCM, and IPMA, in that order. But that's just me.

I discussed this same issue with my service manager. He says that it is normal for a car to be delivered and have updates pending, and they don't upate them unless it's a recall. I would have thought that they'd do all the updates before selling it, but he said there was no requirement to do that. So they don't.

Well they are used for lane-keeping and sign recognition. I'm not sure what other updates would be in that software that would be used in a non-BC car. But I'm sure there's a reason they got updates.
