Guys it’s only a software update and new cars will have the priority on this recall… no stress! It’s the Canadian communication VP

That's Canada. You guys don't even have lemon laws...(but you do have MSRP laws).

It’s the same recall regardless of the country, same software update… you will all get your cars, stop worrying. Maybe 1-2 more days of preparation because of this recall, that’s it!

new builds (after 5/24) has different part. it's not clear yet whether some older builds need the parts or just software update.

So I test drive a BMW i4 edrive50 today. Nice, quick little car. If I could get it at the same price and APR as I'm getting my Mach E, I might just do that but unfortunately it's $3k more and at least 0.5% more APR, and because it's a demo car I wouldn't be able to get it until August anyways, so I suppose I'll just wait for my Mach E and keep my fingers crossed it's not as long of a wait as some people may have had to wait for a Chevy Bolt

I test drove a Rivian R1T today (First Mile drive). Loved it. Too bad there's no way to get one until 2024 lol.

This is the key issue. I found myself configuring a Tesla a couple times today and the equivalent vehicle to my mme is not available till Mar-Jun 2023.

I didn't even know the i4 eDrive 40 exists. I'm seriously considering it now if the recall means I don't get the Mach-E until September or even later. That said, it looks like the i4 needs to be ordered too.

My MME has only made it to Laredo. By the time it gets to me it may be Q3 anyway.

My BMW dealer told me it would be around a year to receive an i4 after placing an order (with a $1500 deposit). Any i4 M50s sitting on the lot are marked up $10,000.

Does anyone know how this is going to work when the cars get to the dealer? I’ve seen some speculation that the Dealer could force me to do the paperwork even though I can’t take the car. How does that work? I want to trade in my current car. Can they sell my car to someone else if I don’t want to do paperwork until the car is available to take? Anyone in this group that ordered from Mullinax Kissimmee talk to the dealer yet?
