From what I've read you will likely be just fine. But it's best not to drive it too hard, especially shortly before your arrival to the DCFC, and potentially shortly thereafter.

Good luck and have a great trip!
This matches my understanding of the problem too . . . the timing of this sucks (well, it sucks for all of us). I'll keep my eyes on the forums and news for the next few days to see if anything develops.

Thank you! And thank you to all of the car/EV nerds on here that share information so freely (and, generally, carefully). :)

Need more data. I'll put it into excel and get back to you.
4 quarters is 100 pennies yet 4 quarter hours is 60 minutes. Place that into your spreadsheet, print it, roll it up and smoke it. Then get back with us and give us an explanation. Class dismissed!

You’re the unluckiest person on earth?? Have you watched the news? It’s just a car.
I really don’t see the point of this reply. Are you trying to put me in my place? Give me a life lesson? Thanks

Whenever I type on here I’m always writing in the context of our common experience of buying a MachE and in that context yes I feel very unlucky given that I could at least have a car in my driveway that I ordered ten months ago. No I don’t feel the most unlucky person on earth. Most probably anyone on here have solved most of their lives big problems if they’re able to buy a MME, I hope you have too. But yeah you had to be the smartest person in the room I give it to you.

Could be, and it certainly looks like it atm. I’m personally not willing to engage in that speculation though. I’ll wait for the official notice.

In the meantime I’ll take a few precautions. Whisper mode, no 1pd, 110 volt charging only. Drive 25 mph below the speed limit, put a stopper on the accelerator pedal so it only goes to 1/3 of normal movement. Rebuild the garage so I don’t have to back in and the car could be towed out from either side, hire a flatbed tow truck and driver to follow me everywhere I go, never charge above 30%, rebadge the car to Tesla. You know, sensible things. :p
In your case - load beer in frunk and surfboard in tailgate - head for beach - repeat daily until your turn for recall.

For those of you not happy with this, this could be the reason for that 5 second limit on your GT's. If they fix it, the limiter might get taken off. Think about it that way.
I think they may do just the opposite and make it 3 sec. Let's just put it this way. Unless I have an issue, Im going to let most others get the fix and wait to see some 0-60 and 1/4 mile number before I take mine in. I never went in for the ignition recall on my G8 because they replace the flip key with and old-school straight key during the fix. I was like, "screw that!"

Sorry to say : next software update is going to be a loss of power ! Reducing the amps and voltage to lessen the chance of some component meltdowns.
If they do that, they better be prepared to buy back some vehicles. Im going to be in that line quickly followed buy the line for a new EV6GT.

What exactly are the contactors? Looking at the thumbnail photo, are the contactors the ping plugs or the soup can looking things?

Ding ding ding… I’m the lucky one! Premium RWD SR built on 5/24 is part of it. Dealer texted me today and said it was part of it. He also said that they heard the fix will likely deploy in August. Fingers crossed it’s not that long.
This just means you are part of the recall, we all are for the time being. What was meant by the post you quoted was a RWD SR has not actually had the failure. If you don’t even have the car yet you wouldn’t have been able to have it fail.

Sad to hear this for everyone who has been waiting and will now have their delivery pushed back (I'm still waiting on a production date), but is likely good news for those of us with early 2022 orders as this decreases the chance that Ford could cross the 200,000 vehicle threshold in Q2 for tax credit purposes. So it seems highly likely now that the full $7,500 tax credit will be in effect through the rest of 2022.
If Ford crosses in Q2 it would still be good through 2022 I believe since the tax credit winds down 2 quarters after they hit the limit.

I have a mme gtpe on order that should’ve been delivered in march.
We ordered it last year September I ? ,delivery date what’s march.
The feedback from Ford when you buy a new car is really poor.
At the end of march we contacted our Ford dealer and he said there was a delay.
Now he said it would arrive at the end of may of at the beginning of June.
So after that promise (in writing)I sold our current car 2 weeks ago.
No e-mail ,nothing from Ford it had arrived.
So last week I went to the dealership.
The salesman said the car was build and in Europe.
But it was shipped from Belgium to Germany because of a(battery/update) problem.
To the focus plant where it wil be repaired.
maybe the car wil arrive back to Belgium at the end of juli he said.
I find it unbelievable that in 2022,nobody at Ford has a phone or a computer to keep there costumers in the loop for what is going on with there car.
I have read the same storie over and over on this forum.
so it is not only in the us,it is the same in Europe .
kind regards
