Your car has a 22 Sep 21 build date, it is a "Job 2" car.

Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) 21P22 (not a 'recall') would support updating the PCM, SOBDMC, BCM, BECM, SOBDM, and SOBDMB on your car. The other updates are not that critical. If you suggest to the tech that you are having problems storing more than one driver profile (button 1, 2, 3 etc) they may perform the DSM as a warranty update. If you are having problems with charging your cell phone, the tech may perform the WACM update as a warranty update. I don't know if you're having those specific issues or not obviously.

Great thanks, i have used FDRS before, but because the fdrs-prices are way higher here i only buy a 2 day license when necessary. Looks like i have something to do this weekend !

No not a recall, but 21P22 showed up in Etis

So, my Mustang was stuck and could not load 1.7 or later. I could not either schedule an OTA. So along with a lot of other Mustang owners we waited for the software update which came out in late March or April.

I took my car in to do that update, but they had a hard time doing it. In the process they brick the IPC and had to order a new one. Took 4 weeks for it to come in They installed it and after two days of trying to get the updates to load, they said “success” and gave the car back to me, with Blue Cruise installed and the other apps, like Blocks there.

However when I go to look at the Ford Power Up app version, it just says “Software is up to date”. My sync version is 421. I have OTA set to update everyday (before I could not set it, now I can).

So, the question I have is, should I be able to look and see what Ford Power Up version I am not or do I have to wait till a new update comes down.

My VIN is 3FMTK3SU2MMA29233

Thanks

Dave

Short answer is no.

PowerUps (OTA) and actual software versions do not necessarily correlate.

If you have Sync 421 that is the latest version and would be the equivalent of PowerUp 2.8.3.

See here.

I have updated my car with all available updates using FDRS. I have no "PowerUp" version at all showing in Sync because I have not gotten an OTA.

If your car went in to the shop and had all the updates performed using FDRS and you are up to date your "PowerUp" version will still show the info for the last OTA you received. It doesn't matter that you are fully up-to-date...it will always show the last OTA (Unless like me you have never gotten any and then that page in Sync is blank).

I am unable to look any VINs up in FDRS today. I think it may have something to do with it being a national holiday, and the servers may be undergoing maintenance.

I will try to circle back to check and see if you have any updates pending when FDRS is able and then post a follow up.

Mike

UPDATE: FDRS is back up now, below is the list of updates you have pending. They all came out very recently.

Hi Mike,

Car stuck on update 1.7 since January this year. Auto update gray out and not able to set schedule update. Took the car to Ford dealer twice and couldn't fix it.
Got my car back on 6/10/2022. Last Sunday my car was showing the update icon and I clicked to install 1.7.1. After updated to 1.7.1, my car was able to set auto and schedule updates. So, I set the car to schedule update on every Monday 3PM. This morning got the 2.1 .0 and installed.
My VIN is 3FMTK3SU6MMA27999. Are you able to check what Ford done on my car? Cause my service advisor didn't tell me anything. Also, any pending updates that related to 21P22, 21G01 and 22B08? They are showing in my Ford service workorder.

Thank you,

Alex

Okay so as far as CSP 21P22 you still have the OBCC and RFA modules that weren't done from that program.

The DSM and WACM just came out like two weeks ago. The DSM is to help with multiple driver profile settings and the WACM is to help with wireless charging issue you may be having. I'm not clear on what the GSM was supposed to fix but nobody is reporting that they are having issues with the GSM but a lot of people are showing up with that update, and it isn't in any OTA so far.

The HVAC is one that's been out there for a while but it will also likely not come as an OTA any time soon.

So the TCU, APIM, IPC are all related to getting 21G01, the BlueCruise program, under that program you are entitled to have your car updated at the dealership to get BlueCruise to function.

On the 8th of June the tech attempted to do the APIM update but the system couldn't download a file (MU5T-14H212-GK) and when the system asked if the tech wanted to retry he/she said "No".

On the 9th another two attempts on the APIM and this time the tech said yes to the retry request but the file still didn't download. So a PMI on the APIM was tried and during that process the file again wouldn't download. And two more attempts to update the APIM were unsuccessful due to a different error now "Procedure Unsuccesful - ParseAndCompareFlashActionApplications Unknown Error". So a Module Repair (22B08) was attempted but the Flashboot process timed out and when asked if a retry should be attempted the tech said "No".

I would ask them to finish CSP 21P22 and 21G01 if I were you. And if they need assistance they should request engineering support and possibly a better internet connection. Or you can let the BlueCruise OTA process play out instead of taking it to the dealer, but you do still have other updates they were supposed to do under CSP 21P22.

Mike
Hi Mike, thank you for your help. Will schedule another appointment to get 21P22 done.

Kindly requesting a check for 3FMTK3R72MMA47084. Trying to decide if I should spend the money for an adapter and power supply to go down the update rabbit hole myself.

Hello,

Could I get a check please?

VIN: 3FMTK3SU5MMA62534

Thanks!
Build date 14 Oct 21, Job 2 car.

Might be eligible for CSP 21P22. Somebody else can chime in on whether it applies to that build date or not. I've heard it was extended to Job 2 cars but I don't have a reference for that info.

As always, start with the GWM before doing anything else...then I recommend following something like the CSP 21P22 procedure and go from there.

16 Aug 21 build date, Job 2

Well there would certainly be enough to keep you busy. But on the other hand supposedly a "big fix" OTA is on it's way in the very near term to provide a bunch of updates to Job 2 cars specifically. I've been told this by two different people who should know. I don't know the details but it's expected in the next two weeks I believe. Anecdotal.

Anyway, here's what you're looking at:

And again, your car may be eligible to get many of these modules updated by the dealer under CSP 21P22 if it has been extended to Job 2 cars.

Held off requesting input until I finally successfully got 2.8.3 applied ota today. I know 21G01 was fully included but not sure if everything in 21P22 (which I was eligible for) has been covered ota.
Could someone please check my VIN 3FMTK3SU4MMA38516 to see if anything is outstanding?

Thanks a ton Mike. I figured it was going to be rough but anecdotal OTA hope is nice to hear. I haven’t seen any CSP which shows the date extension to Job 2 which would be nice. I’ve only seen that it was June builds and previous. Does anyone have documentation for that?
