I've only been researching MachE for about a week so I'm curious if anyone saw the increase that was announced/abandoned and approximately how much it was?

My options are:
* Order Aug15 with xplan (slightly below MSRP), increased '23 sticker, and get likely $3750 credit
* Get one from a lot with current dealer markup ($10k at local dealers) and $7500 credit
I read that they did increase prices in the UK earlier this year. The amount was dependent on the trim (Select, Premium, GT) but they ranged from $2,000 to about $6,000 at the time. Apologies. I don't know what the amount was per trim level, but I think it would be safe to say $2k was the lower trim and $6k was GT/GTPE.

According to the math done by InsideEVs and published today, they are at about 185,000, which means it really can go either way as to whether 200,000 will be reached in Q3 or Q4. It seems if Ford wanted to game it, it would not take much to ensure that 200,000 happens in Q4 since they will be close to the line by the end of this quarter.

The difference will be whether the tax credit halves to $3,750 either on January 1, 2023 or April 1, 2023 (i.e., whether early order 2023s will get the full tax credit or not).
Glad mine is already built and allegedly will arrive in mid August. Hopefully Ford won’t make an excuse not to sell it to me. Lol

You will be fine either way, even if they hit 200,000 cars tomorrow, because of how the phase out period works, everyone taking delivery through New Years Eve this year would get the full $7,500.

Well we're looking at Premium ER RWD so sounds like between $4-5k can be expected. Thanks!

I find it funny when these "sources" online post as stories stuff we talk about, just days later. Basically, they read the forums then "borrow" the content from us.

True, but to be fair to them, that article was published yesterday a couple of hours before this thread was revived.

But, to continue to be fair, this forum has a similar discussion every month that they could be basing coverage on. Just look at my post here: https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...-5-179-sold-6-020-produced.18315/#post-434188

Notice how similar it is to how insideev's laid out their analysis (just with the updated June numbers, since my post was talking about the numbers through May). I'm actually happy that they are digging into the numbers in just as much detail as we are.

I think when it comes to hobbies/forums, the folks reading it is normally far more invested in it than most "reporters" since it doesn't affect them directly. A lot of us spend countless hours tracking our cars or knowing all things specifically about the Mach-E and generally, most regulars here knows more than a lot of salepeople or dealerships (and reporters).

Reporters talk about all EVs in general a lot of times vs. just 1. I know nothing going on anymore with the Fisker Ocean, but the reporter probably knows more than me.

I wouldn't be suprised if very busy forums/reddit is a source for a lot of their content/articles.
