I would take a look at the electrical connections at the head to make sure nothing was arc welding itself.

I just bought a Grizzle charger a few weeks ago and it has worked great up until today. I tried taking it out of the port this morning and it was stuck. I opened the Frunk to see if the manual release would work, and it didn't of course, since that is supposed to be for the release of a D/C charger.

I was able to free it after yanking and pulling on it off an on for about 30 minutes at different angles. It appears that the latch doesn't lift high enough to pass the tab that keeps it locked into the charge port.

Does anybody have any recommendations on how I can avoid this situation in the future? I do have a replacement charger on the way due to a different issue but it probably won't be here for another few weeks.
Do you mind me asking why you were getting a replacement unit? I personally just received a replacement from Grizzl-E a couple of weeks ago myself. The cables/plugs were getting HOT. New unit seems fine.

Mine is for the GFCI High Leak error. It doesn't affect the function, but requires an occasional reset when that error code shows up.

I know of 5 people that have had this issue with Grizzle's. One had a tow truck waiting and was about to unwire the plug when they freed it up.
I’m very confused what would cause this, I don’t see on the plug where it could become an issue. Are they using a different holder or the holster that came with the Grizzle? Wonder if a piece is breaking off the holster

Well I did notice that the release button appears to not press down as much as it used to out of the box. When I was finally able to free it from the charger I connected it to the holster I have screwed into the wall and it became stuck there as well.

After I was able to get disconnected from the wall I inspected the tooth and there doesn't appear to be any play in it after the release button is pressed down all the way.

This is their response, I don’t know how often this happens to any set of EVSE, but they seem to think it happens less with Grizzl-E

Not really a response.

So it’s the manufacturing tolerances of everyone else causing the issue?

Maybe Ford should start blaming the roads people drive on next time their cars break.
