Allocation Spot and Scheduled for Production?

I'm pretty beat now - 2020 comes at me again. I just don't understand how/why I have such a late build date. I reserved literally as the announcement happened, and converted ASAP to an order. Meanwhile folks with much higher reservation numbers/dates and Premiums are getting quicker build dates.

They could also be doing something like model 3 which was location and configuration based. which include color

Also build date does not equal ship or delivery date. What if all builds in December ship out within 1-2 days of each other? Actual build date wouldn’t really matter then.

Week of Dec 21 for me. Red premium AWD ER. Reservation was placed about an hour after the unveiling on 11/17 and converted to order on 6/27

I actually just got an email from ford telling me my route 1 will be built the week of dec 14th. I reserved nov 24th and the order was placed july 15th:

I know it isn't your fault - but it certainly pisses me off that you get a build date a week before me, and reserved a week after me.

I haven't heard from dealer yet, but email from Ford says build week of 11/30. No VIN. It's for a Premium, reservation number 4462.

What is the general guesstimate of delivery based on build date? 2..3..4 weeks? F...me, I might be out of town. ?

Just got my email for week of 12/14 for my FE.

You may want to check with your tax accountant. If you have the VIN/order for this year, you might be able to get it to show this year even if delivery isn't until next year.

Yes! My dealer emailed back and said that it may be possible to do paperwork before delivery.

Haha just got the same thing, and Dec 21st, for my Premium. I can stop debating IB vs Rapid Red now I guess.
