It is not.

Ford are aware of it and it was in the top of the "alerts" section of PTS yesterday. So they are working on it. It's just a nuisance.

I will advise when I see a remedy show up.

Mike
Thanks. New to updating with FDRS so looking forward to it

Yes on the Frunk system fault message. I was told engineering is investigating.

You should be good on the OBCC...it's not really a downgrade reversion...things were tweaked in the newly released -AM version.

Mike
Confirmed that there are issues with OBCC "-AN" version. There are about 7000 vehicles which were updated to -AN and it is recommended that those who updated roll back to the -AM version being offered in FDRS.

Do you know what issues were introduced by the OBCC-AN version. I updated a while ago to the AN version and have not run into any problems that I am aware of. Thanks.

IS the -AM version the only version available in FDRS? I've got a dealer gonna run OBCC for me this Friday to tie up my 21P22 CSP since I got everything OTA, just wanna make sure they don't do the bad version.

-AN was pulled so they will flash the -AM version.

First time trying to login into FDRS 32.5.7 and I get the Ford Account login using Non-Dealer Motorcraft and it accepts the password but when it goes back to FDRS I get a User Authentication message failed message. I uninstalled and reinstalled FDRS and still no luck. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

I figured it out. I had to go to the Motorcraft Service site and use the new login screen that uses my Fire credentials. Once I did that I could login to FDRS successfully.

Guess i have one of the 6000 cars that already has OBCC-AN running (no issues here also)

Globally, is there a website from Ford somewhere that distributes these kind of messages/warnings ?

I know that a lot of guys in Europe only buy a license when it is necessary, this is mainly a cost thing for me. So i only see information regarding modules here and nowhere else.

There isn't anything available to the public. Some issues are listed in FDRS announcements when you run the software and some are posted in PTS which most people don't have due to the high subscription cost.

There isn't yet any information about what the issue is but if it were serious then I suspect we would already be seeing forum activity discussing problems. All that is known is that it is recommended to install the version currently offered in FDRS which is a roll back to -AM.

I believe these stats come from inside the Ford domain. I don't think you'll find something like that on PTS/OASIS until they get to a point where they need to send out a TSB/SSM, etc. to get the word out.

Along those same lines it would be interesting to know how many Mach-Es (assuming all are '21 Job 1 cars) are affected by the "Frunk System Fault Service Required" error after updating to the -ACR version of the BCM software. I know Ford has broadcast that out over OASIS and it was on the PTS Alerts section last week.

So basically the right to update is not the right to inform ?

But hey i get it, otherwise we would only see the dealer every two years for the maintenance and some occasional repairs

So I'm still on the "old" OBCC for a while and have been getting the "your car will charge outside preferred charge times due to settings" via FordPass, but my charge window is 9pm to 4pm and it has still been finishing its charge between 1am and 3am, so well in the window.

I did catch my stupid Ford Mobile Charger flashing between solid blue and half amber/blue. I reseated the charger and it still ended up flashing between the colors, but I'm still getting the roughly 12 miles an hour of added charge (which is what I've always gotten 12 to 15 miles an hour on my 40 AMP breaker).

Could this be related to the OBCC or is my charger going out and causing issues with the car, even though I'm still getting 12 miles an hour?
