This could be interesting.
Mine was built a week ago and is about to be shipped. Does it make sense to check it already? If so, here’s the VIN. Maybe it’s not helpful since it’s a new build.

29 Jul '22 build date.

And you've got the same BCM update that most of us got about a week ago. Don't expect the dealer to update this just because. They normally only do programming updates at delivery if there's a recall or "stop sell, hold" situation.

Wow! Thank you so much! Do you recommend that I ask the dealer to do it or is it fine to get it home and try to get an OTA update to happen? This is exciting! Maybe I really am getting a car soon?

I'm not aware of an OTA in the pipeline for that particular BCM upadate. Honestly they're so behind there are some '22 models with 10-15 updates available that haven't seen OTAs to update them.

You'll see what I mean in about 6 months. Ask for a VIN check again around the holidays and you'll get an idea of how far behind things can get.

Hello FDRS team, I got my '22 Premium on July 13. I know there were some powerups in August, but mine has not received a single OTA since we took it home. Normally I wouldn't worry but I know from the F150 forums that there are some trucks that NEVER got OTA's until they went to a dealer to manually update some major modules. I don't want that to be me with the Mach E.

Looking at the wiki (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Power-Up_Version_History) it looks like the latest add Alexa, but mine had Alexa the day we got it. I'm wondering if that was to bring '21s up to current capability only. I cannot check my most recent powerup because there is no history yet for OTA's.

Can anyone check my VIN in FDRS to see if I'm getting out of date or that I should start worrying? 3FMTK3R71NMA31251

This is all I can get from the head unit:

Hello. Could someone please check on my vehicle?

3FMTK1RM9MMA34097

To the best of my knowledge, since taking delivery of the car in June 2021, it has NEVER done an OTA update despite being connected to wifi 100% of the time while it's at home. I don't know if it's stuck with a corrupted data issue, but it's extremely frustrating because to get any updates done I have had to take it into the dealership where they keep it for weeks at a time (allegedly) going back and forth with Ford engineers because they too have a helluva time getting it to update even over a wired connection.

Thanks for any help than can be provided!

It tried to do 2.8.3 in July but since you never drove the car it did not install and expired. Hasn't tried again since. A reminder you have to drive the car to check for updates and install them, it won't do it while parked. Hopefully the Ford server generates another trigger for you at some point, they may be prioritizing recall OTAs right now before returning to SYNC updates.

You are a recent build so you have pretty much all the latest software (left the factory with updated recall hardware+software). We'll see what Mike says but I'm guessing only BCM, OBCC, DSM, & HVAC. Your next OTA will probably be the 3.x series which is still deploying to '22s, be patient. Nothing is wrong.

My Mach-E just came back from glass recall and it was supposed to be updated. Is it possible to check if everything is up to date? European VIN: WF0TK3SS9MMA32760

I suspect that the APIM is not up to date, as OTA are still blocked.

Here's the list of updates (which does include the ones affected by recall 22S41):

Based on your build date and not having the recall performed yet (OTA or in person) this list is what would be expected.

There are modules listed that haven't been covered by an OTA and likely will not be for some time. They would be things like the DSM that is updated if the owner has a concern that their driver's seat and mirrors do not adjust to the profile settings that correspond to the fob they're using at the time, but they adjust possibly to the settings for the other fob. The HVAC update would address a concern the owner might have with not enough heat being provided in the cabin when it's cold outside.

Given the list above and your build date I would not be concerned that you are falling behind.

I agree with your assessment.

I would reengage with your service department and reference the unfinished CSP 21P22 (they never updated your RFA) and also ask that they investigate for a "stuck" module situation by performing the steps in 22B08 (attached) and if the results indicate there is a problem then they would perform steps in TSB 22-2150.

How unfortunate. Alas, the car was sitting in my dealership's service department for a portion of July, presumably when 2.8.3 wanted to install ?‍♂
When not at it's second home at the dealership, it does get driven quite frequently.

One can only hope...?

That seems like a highly inefficient, not to mention frustrating, way of going about updates though.

Thanks, that helps a lot. The problem is that 22B08 in Europe is not officially rolled out. So in my case it's a matter of their goodwill.

These three have appeared in the last month. The OBCC is a minor revision, and the BCM and GFM taken together would enable your frunk to be opened using the door keypad, and eventually after it's enabled in the future, the Sync Access menu frunk soft button. I am not aware of any of these three updates being provided by an OTA as of this date.

Okay but it would take them only a few minutes to connect the laptop to your car and run the Module Update Repair to determine if you have a problem.

They wouldn't even need to connect a powersupply for that.
