Well I’m all done. GSM wouldn’t clear after trying all the above. I ran it again….it did nothing apart from “Update the database” and now it’s gone.

All up to date. My normal response to these are “Updated, no drama” but this one I’m calling a “Scrotum Tugger”. What a fight.

Thanks for being on hand Mike. It’s highly reassuring having someone else that knows what your talking about.

This is why Sunday morning is the worst time to do updates. I don't know how often there are server maintenance disruptions but it has happened to me on two occasions.

Has anyone had a “ USB ERROR Code_10” ?

I have updated successfully several times via USB however this happened on a GWM today (which I eventually did over can) and a APIM. Happened on two different usb sticks several times

That apparently means the wrong files were downloaded to the USB drive.

I re-format after every single update to make sure the drive is completely blank and ready to go for each new update.

See attached.

I reformat the same way. It’s been working until now…
Well I don't understand how the "wrong files" could get downloaded in the first place, unless they were the wrong ones on the server. That happened for some F-150 Powerboost DIY'ers trying to do a BCM update last month. Wasn't pretty.

Try clicking the refresh button next to the update you're trying to do so it can redownload the files from the Ford server, although the USB update download is done once you start the update so you'd think it wouldn't fix it, but might be worth a try.

I did that for the GWM update prior and same issue. However the GWM update went fine when performed over the CAN so I figured it was a USB specific problem.

I get the normal “do not remove USB” and hit close. Then the tablet screen shows System Updating and files demeaning 2/2. After about 7 or 8 minutes is when it goes back to the normal screen and says update failed.

Also curious is that I left the USB in when I performed the GWM update. When I turned the car off and on per FDRS, the screen then said that the updates on the USB stick had already been applied.

Makes it seem like the files are correct but not being executed?

To update my own situation...

I left the USB stick in my car that had the updates. Each time I went for a drive I plugged it in and let the updates attempt to install. After another 3 or so failures it finally took last night. I didn't do anything different or upload another set of updates.

All updated. No dramas
Intredasting! So 22S41 Redux?

Serves me right for waking up later than normal this morning.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Well given what modules they are I hope he doesn't notice any changes at all...that would be ideal! ?
