Page 434 of the manual states that if you hear constant clicking, you forget to install your wife in the passenger seat. OTA is coming soon.

This is a classic from way back when-

"I went in to get my brakes fixed and the mechanic said to save me a little money, he could just make my horn louder and I should be good to go."

I heard that one liner a long time ago and it still makes me laugh. I think Steven Wright told that one.

I hope they will install Alexa on MME. Then you'll be able to diagnose the problems quickly:
- Alexa, what is that horrible thumping noise?
- That's your heart, sir. And I think it's on its last thump.
- Whew, I thought it was my transmission.

I'm the technical one and ok maybe a geek and I am definitely the car person in our relationship. She loves the car but is not technical. She did feel overwhelmed with all the options the Mach e presents.
She's out on a real estate call and at the end of the business showed the car to one of her clients. She does like showing it off.
So her meeting is over and she's done showing off the car and is back in the car ready to leave and the car is making a continuous clicking sound.
She calls me in a panic. What did the car do? This clicking is just going on and on. I ask if she's in danger where she's parked or any other issues. She is still in the clients driveway and as soon as she started the car this clicking sound started and did not stop. Stay calm, which is not always easy when she is panicking.
I ask her to stop so I can hear the clicking. Very regular and a light click not a 400 volt bam click. then I ask what the dash instruments are telling her. First response is nothing. Then she laughs and tells me the instrument cluster is telling her she's going to turn left.

A good laugh at both ends of that call.
Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

(In before Ford Motor Company posts this).

And, I'm sure she has gotten quite a good laugh after seeing you took the time to post this on a public forum so all can now know how dumb she really is, good job there Mark! Make sure you show her all the forum members responses, I'm sure that will give her some more good chuckles. ?

She's way smarter than I am. She laughed like crazy when she realized the steering wheel was hiding the blinker. Our last new car we had to pedal so it is taking a little time to adjust to this Jetson's car. But way fun.

I took a while but I finally found the noise cancelling oil for Mach e turn signals on Amazon. Should be here tomorrow.

Can you add a poll? I'm wondering if we'll be able to guess her hair color cause it certainly sounds like a call I'd get from my wife...

Though if your last car was a Flintstones car that might be a separate issue. Did they have turn signals back then? ?

That is really funny. I am going to share that with my wife. At least you did not take it to the dealer to pay hundreds of dollars to fix the issue.

Customer: What wrong with the car?
Dealer: The inter-ratio thermo lubrication pump was out of alignment with the meso-lithic magna shaft. (Translation - our mechanic turned off the turn signal).
Customer: Wow that sounds serious.
Dealer: Your lucky you came in when you did. It could have caused the miscalibration of the fluctual carbon measurement orifice diaphragm. (Translation - this is going to be expensive)
Customer: How much is the bill?
Dealer: Well we normally charge $150 per hour to troubleshoot and we estimated at least 6 hours to find the issue. However, we have a really great team that found the issue in 4.5 hours. However, being a great customer, we are going to reduce that down to 4 hours and while we were at it we
lubricate your muffler bearings, for free. Our mechanic even took the car out on a drive to ensure the issue was fixed. (Translation: Our mechanic found the issue the minute he got into the car and the car sat on the lot all day so we could call you back at 4 pm to say the car was fixed. We like having your car on the lot because makes us look like we have a lot of cars to sell but in fact we do not. We took your car out for a test drive with several perspective customer and our sales guys all went to lunch in your car too. )
Customer: Wow, I feel really lucky to have such a great and honest dealer.

A truly funny story. The problem is....in reality....we are all on pins and needles waiting for our MME to fail.

Are we though? I haven't given any thought to it though I could see it being an issue for one-car owners and people that live in remote areas. Now the Bolt fire recall, on the other hand, was an entirely different issue.

This story made me LOL! It also reminds me that the other day while stopped at a light I realized I couldn't hear the turn signal at all. It was literally making no noise. Next time I'm in the car I'll try again but it seemed like a bug to me. Not really a big deal as I look at the screen a lot, but strange to have it make 0 noise...
