I have a select. I was driving yesterday and I got the "pull over" but it had a red battery on the bottom left of the screen. The car did lose all power as well from a roll. I pulled over and turned off the car and back on twice and was able to drive. The screen cleared
I haven't got the update yet.
Any thoughts?

Thanks

Joing the club, had early access update done 5 weeks ago. 2 weeks after, power train and HVBW. 2021 EB AWD. Took car to David Wilson Ford in Tustin. Told service manager had EA update and needed conductor plate. He responded, never head of it. They reinstalled update and reset waring lights. I told him this was only going to last a couple of weeks at best. Sure enough back on. Now car won't charge in addition. Called back. Still insist never heard of this. Unfortunately the next day had to go out of town for a few weeks. Will get it back in 27th with appointment.. Will follow up.

Try and make it to Tuttle Click Ford in Irvine. That is where I had mine done. Their shop foreman knows the drill now. They tried to do the same to me - clear codes and send me away, but know better now.

Driving home today (54 minute drive) I got the "Service Vehicle Soon" message. I wasn't sure what the reason was but power seemed normal. I was near home (about 8 miles) and continued to drive. When I got home I checked my app and seen two alerts "Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power" and "High-Voltage Battery Warning". I'm waiting on the phone now for Ford customer service to answer (number from this post).

Edit: Talked to Customer Service, gave them my VIN and was told there are no active recalls for the HVB that apply to my vehicle and that I can take it to the dealer who *may* replace the defective part if it's covered by any warranty... needless to say I wasn't too thrilled with the person I spoke to but asked for a case number regardless. My dealer is already closed so I will call them first thing in the AM.

Edit 2: After over 5 hours in the shop I’m being told it’s going to be several months. Supposed to have more info tomorrow.

Add me to the problem list with my GT...
I'm not sure that there's much I can do to help you because of your location, but if you would send me a DM with your VIN and the dealership so I could track the progress I would appreciate it.

Yeah i will do that. Currently in progress with roadside assistance. So it will take a while before the car will arrive at the dealer. I am assuming Monday at the earliest.

I got this message and the powerlimiter while traveling from germany to the netherlands. I did drive 280km whith this error to my home. So now my car is waiting for pickup.

Thank you and yes I can see you were moving along at 95mph. I know the recall says its open throttle events and DCFC that are common causes. While that might be true for welding (which I don't believe either) it's a bunch of horse manure when it comes to P0ADA/P0ADE. All the data I have suggests that speed and overtaking vehicles at speed is much more of a trigger.

What's the consensus to do if you get the SVS or SSN while driving? Take it directly to the nearest Dealership (without giving them any notice, driving or Towed depending on situation), or go home, and call Ford BEV team and wait for an appointment?

Just before this happened i was at maximum speed. Had to break and was just trying to get to maximum speed again when all bells and flashes came on.

O well lets see if they can fix it quickly.

SSN happens 99.9% of the time when you turn on the car and it won't let you drive thereafter. SVS happens 99.9% of the time while driving and allows you to continue (until you f&%k it up even more), so you should get it to a dealer ASAP.

SSN will require a tow and SVS will not until you get SSN.

Yes, but in either situation, should you take it to the dealership right away without an appointment, and then contact the BEV team, or is it better to get it back to your house, driving, or towed and wait for the suggestion of the BEV team. My concern is that if you do the second route, a dealer may not have an appointment for weeks out.

If you get SSN and you are not at home, then tow it to a dealership. Doesn't make sense to tow it home and then tow it again.

If you get SSN while at home, or SVS, then call and get a case started and ask for a dealership that is EV certified so you know where to bring it. If they can't get you in immediately they should provide a rental car but you'll need to get the BEV team involved to get all that going. Every location is different. As you can see by my map, most dealerships are getting these done quickly, but some aren't. I also think there's a lot of people on this forum with NO patience and they blow everything out of proportion.

We are seeing people add to this thread at an alarming rate with the issue. Are we still thinking it is < 1% and mostly just folks on this forum experiencing the issue? Seems like it might be a higher number.

Sometimes you just have to pass goat trailers on the German autobahn, Todd.
