I never taught I would ask something silly like this. PAK is not reliable so I did not set it up.
When I just get out the car how can I just lock the car.

Pressing the button on the door opens the door(blah). So I have to take the key fob out from my jacket and press the lock button (its getting cold and I don't want to fiddle searching all my pockets)
Is there another button or touch capacitive button to lock the car like ICD cars(a button on door handle something like that)

If your fob or paak is within 3 ft of the door you can use the key symbol to lock the door. Otherwise activate the number pad on the pillar and press 7-8 and 9-0 at the same time. Both will lock the door.

mmm I tried just now. appears to be not working.

I had the key with me, then I open the door, then I touch the lock symbol (on top of the button) - nothing, no sound of locking.

I left the key in the home came back to garage and press the door button it unlocks.

may be I am doing something wrong, or is there a setting, I will have to look

The lock button lags bad, I use the numbers or lock on walk away

The Mach e has electronic door latches so you won't hear a physical lock cylinder cycle though it sometimes does make some quiet noises. Hold 7-8 and 9-0 it always works to lock it. Or turn on walk away lock.

You say you didn't set up PAAK because it is unreliable. Maybe try setting it up and giving it a shot it actually works pretty well for me now. Every once in a while there is a hiccup. Walk away lock with the fob in my pocket works perfectly for me.

The keypad does indeed lag badly...and as for a visual indicator I always look for my mirrors to fold to let me know it's locked.

I just push the "Lock" button on the inside of the driver's door as I exit the car, then close the door and it's locked.
That's my primary method too. If I forget, I just hit the little lock symbol on the outside of the door.

Once in a while the outside lock symbols won't work (rear doors most often), but I think that may be the same inconsistent authorization signal issue that the fob and PAAK have in general. Weak antennas or something. Even a human body tends to block the signal, if it's positioned on the outside of your body relative to the car.

Lock button on the inside of the door is super easy to hit on the way out of the car. Channel your 1992 self.
Alternatively the 7/8 9/0 buttons, both pressed after closing the door is super reliable.
The capacitance lock “button” above the door open button….. across 3 MACH-E’s and over 3 years of additive ownership…. I’ve never had that work even once.

good idea, but in my case, I get down first and then open rear door to get the toddler. (So I have to lock it from outside after getting the kid)

7/8 9/0 works everytime.

My sample pool is about ten times smaller (only one car for about a year, and I didn't even know about these buttons for a few months), but the success rate is probably 80%
It is really strange how the same car can behave so differently
