Nah. Never too soon.
You have to be able to laugh and not take things too seriously. Especially the roll out of an all new model that is also a BEV during a pandemic.
Actually, I am making out in the deal - my route 1 is scheduled to be built far sooner than I expected.

Could it be true? My dealer told me my car will be built november 17 but I cant find anyone else this early..
You should have received an email from Ford giving you the week of the build which ALWAYS is on a Monday. Your dealer can the give you both the exact date as well as the exact day of the build. Salesman have no clue. You want to talk to the inventory manager. It is their responsibility.

Here in Canada we need to order from a dealer so we dont receive an email. And he was checking the sheet of all their order at Ford Canada before telling me my car will be baptized November 17, someone from ontario, Canada was told he will have his car mid december and that his car would be built early november. Well only time will tell I guess

Some of us in the US aren't getting emails either, if the dealer highjacked our reservations, or we let ourselves get suckered into Machdrop.

I guess we will know with the VIN?
Not necessarily. We’ve already heard the VINs are assigned sequentially when scheduled, not according to build order. A high VIN could be moved up in the build sequence.

I dont know but yes in theory. It has been posted here that the VINs are serial number issued when issued but cars may not be built in that order. So it is possible you may have a higher VIN than others but possibly built earlier to accommodate for longer delivery times

They may be allotted early and not made until later? Time will tell what Ford will do. Some suggest here that changes and is evolving as they go? It was mentioned that supply lines are stressed; lets hope we only hit minor snags.

I guess we're not the only ones that made the false assumption that the "first edition" was supposed to ship first!

too soon?
Can’t think of anything that is called a “First Edition” that comes after non-first editions... As a result, the logical assumption and expectation would be that Mach E FE’s would come off the line first, for an additional $3,600! Not a sound business practice and not a good way to win new customers.

We still don't know that they won't. All we have so far are build dates. Does anyone have promised delivery dates?
