We still don't know that they won't. All we have so far are build dates. Does anyone have promised delivery dates?
No but we have FE build dates throughout Dec and even into Jan. Then add shipping time. So unless there's no non-FE deliveries in 2020, seems like a number of non-FEs will deliver before all FEs deliver.

It's possible they could hold all non-FEs at the plant for delivery till 2021 to get the FEs delivered first, but it seems unlikely they'd do that. But who knows. Nothing would totally surprise me at this point.

By the end of 2021.

even though I am not getting an FE I have the same thought that given the name of the Trim they would be delivered first. However someone had previously brought up that you are spreading all these FE over a the whole of the US so it would not be feasible to just ship those. Got to wait for the "train" to be full before sending them out. Think a better name for the trim would have been the generic "Special Edition" or "Infinite Edition" :)

I would expect (not that I have any say or knowledge) most of normal USA FE to be delivered in 2020 as there reservation would of had to be from 2019. That said, given what we know it wouldn't surprise me if the ones from the mach e drop come later.

I was thinking if they are delivering cars per region than it could be feasible that in your region you would still receive the First Edition before everyone else. So if your in New York you might get the MME FE before anybody else in New Yor but not necessarily before premiums in Cali

Regions are probably in part based on CARB states. Hopefully every region will get some deliveries in 2020.

All the cars would be on the same train to that region, and unloaded at the same staging point/depot. Then if the car carriers going to some particular location could not be filled with FE for that location (ie not enough were ordered), then non-FE would get delivered at the same time. It would make sense for the receiving dealer to sell all the cars (FE and non-FE) they receive immediately to recognize the revenue before the end of the year, rather than hold non-FEs back until all the FE buyers came in and took delivery.

Look, the plan at one time might have been to do that but the virus screwed up the schedule and compressed it to a very short week or two at the end of the year. It's in everybody's best interest to recognize as much revenue as possible this year, and the dealers can only do that when customers sign the paperwork and take the cars off the lot. It might make FE buyers sad, but recognizing revenue is far more important than feelings.

I understand that some FE buyers are upset that other trim levels will be arriving before all the FEs are completed, but can we also agree to applaud Ford just for the sheer notion that last November they stated that they would release the MME by winter 20-21 and are actually going to succeed in that statement even though the world was turned upside down by a freaking global pandemic and shutdown lasting several months?!

Wait....had to read that back. Is it possible that was all one sentence, or will my grammar teacher wife tear me a new one?

Either way, way to go Ford. In our new way of life from working from home, making little contact with the outside world as possible, limiting contact in work environments, remote teaching, etc., Ford was able to still produce a brand new vehicle and is maintaining the highest of quality standards. A definite win all across the board.

Infinite Edition in Infinite Blue would be perfect

Dad are we there yet?

Good times waiting for the MME; should be epic. We may be close to hands on range/performance reviews. Color should not matter; as most are pretty sure grey is the fastest ?.

LOL

Its like we're all sitting around in the waiting room (this thread) idily chatting together about various unrelated subjects waiting for the doctor to come in with news ("Its a boy!").

Just be patient and keep reading....

(Besides if you do have a scheduled build week then you know your car can't possibly show up before that date. Do you really need plant updates beyond that--other than the "we're still on time" update.)

I only heard one new item of interest: they did start production and things were moving steadily last week.

As long as we don't get a 'Plant closed' update that will be good enough for me

So a good friend of mine ordered 2 premium MME's contacted his dealer. His dealer told him that he supposed to receive the First Editions around Dec. 6 and has those Vins. He doesn't have the premium vins yet.
