Thanks Greg, need to find another 48amp charger to figure this out. Its possible MME has a charge port issue. When it was in 2 weeks ago for the HVBJB they said charge port was fine .
I think I remember some users reporting issues when L2 charging at 48A (max speed). The work around was to lower the speed and that seemed to work. Only way to lower the speed is to re-run the set up process and tell the EVSE that it is wired to a smaller breaker. Then it tells the car not to draw as many amps.

That is just a work around though. There may be a TSB for this issue. Tell your service advisor that your car charges fine at slower speeds but shuts down at 48A. It could be a cooling issue with the electronics or any number of other issues. Definately should have it looked at.

Good. That means there are codes stored. Your dealer will read those and then take necessary action.

Correct !!
I had a Lic. contractor install 60 amp and was inspected by the city and
wiring and breakers are to code. I called charge point to escalate not charging at 60 amps. They gave me some horse crap about 50 amps service being the best output is within there tolerances and possibly will have to live with that.
They didn’t give you horse crap. They told you what the actual limits are. For a 60A circuit, the max load is 48A, based on the continuous duty rule (running something for more 3 hours). That’s what your Charge Point should be set to, 48A, not 50A. The car also maxes out at 48A.
