I think I remember some users reporting issues when L2 charging at 48A (max speed). The work around was to lower the speed and that seemed to work. Only way to lower the speed is to re-run the set up process and tell the EVSE that it is wired to a smaller breaker. Then it tells the car not to draw as many amps.Thanks Greg, need to find another 48amp charger to figure this out. Its possible MME has a charge port issue. When it was in 2 weeks ago for the HVBJB they said charge port was fine .
That is just a work around though. There may be a TSB for this issue. Tell your service advisor that your car charges fine at slower speeds but shuts down at 48A. It could be a cooling issue with the electronics or any number of other issues. Definately should have it looked at.
