Well, the issue was that you can't flip the latch mechanism from the front. You have to get to it from the back of the latch. The angle would be near impossible to put some sort of instrument in to unlatch, and to get a hand in you need pretty aggressive upward force on the hood to allow enough space.Good to hear.
Thinking the one riffing up on the hood was causing the one that was sliding the latch over more grief than help. But at least you knew when he got it slide over in an abrupt way

It doesn't work on all cars though. We have 3 cars in our family and pressing those buttons doesnt do anything on our cars. ???
They don't answer questions here. They just collect your VIN and dealer info. What happens after that, I have no idea.
For me, the facilitated an appointment with my dealer, and followed up with the dealer (and me) regularly until the issue was resolved. I was pretty impressed, actually.
I use my frunk every weekend for groceries. And I figure it will be good to put stuff in when it's cold out and you don't want to let all the warm air out opening the back gate.
If you have a job 1 car that hasn't been updated then hitting the 7/8 after your door pillar code won't work. You also won't have the button on the screen or avail in the app if I recall correctly.
