Ok - if you think that demand is falling and prices will fall to MSRP or below, then wait till January. Makes sense.Good points. Not a bait and switch but something awfully similar. I feel like we are on the precipice of a return to MSRP and deeper incentives. It will only take one OEM to up production and stock dealer lots. Others will follow and we will see a return of MSRP. Higher interest rates. Collapsing housing market. It's happening now.
The other side of that coin is that as demand falls, production and availability could fall to keep pace. Most car companies, Ford included indicated they were not going to fill up car lots again built on speculation. They would only build orders. They want to do this to avoid big carrying costs and discounting. We will see.
