Contacted ford chat, mine is “in transit”. What confuses me, is that, it’s on the same time trajectory for all the events that’ve taken place so far, but when I asked chat 3 weeks ago, they said the eta would be 12/6-12/12. But today they said 1/11-1/17. Hoping for a December arrival, otherwise without tax credit, I would honestly switch to an ev6 if they had one at 0 markup

i tried to look up if the ford plant in mexico works on the weekends. going by the 20 cars an hour 2 8 hr shifts don't think my car will be in the build for today LOL. (im 445) so it would have to fall on the weekend right? again i have been obsessing on this. i just want it built and shipped with a delivery date and i can relax

I feel your pain. I am slightly obsessed as well, as a word of warning, mine was "built" last week and has been sitting with zero updates, it is very frustrating, I cannot imagine those who have been doing this for a year.

Joining the obsession with my car being built:

Premium SR RWD - Vapor Blue
Batch 9259
652/1034

No modules yet, but ordertrack.app finally shows time in status of 11 hours.

Dealer says delivery first week of January but the exact date not known until 2 weeks out.

Is there a DIY kit so it'll ship faster? Probably easier to assemble than IKEA furniture./s

Now most of us are in production I'm curious about everyone's home charging plan.

Has anyone already purchased a home charger?

Does anyone already have an EV/charger and would like to share their feedback?

I'd love to hear people's thoughts.

i've had an EV since 2011. initially i had a 1st generation Blink EVSE, which was truly a college project. it was free though, i think DOE paid for it. i had to pay about 2K to an electrician to pull a 220V drop thru the garage wall and put in a 220V plug.

at some point it failed and i bought a chargepoint home EVSE. it has worked pretty flawlessly. i think once it failed to charge my tesla and i don't know what happened.

i have a schedule set in the charge point app to follow the PGE EV-2A pricing and that seems to work fine. the app has an ios16 homescreen widget which gives the charging status. it doesn't seem to be able to distinguish between my plug-in prius and the tesla though, as far as charge statistics go. i don't know if this is a thing in general but i suspect that in theory an EVSE could query the car to figure out what is being charged.

I have a Nema 14-50 in the garage and I'm going to be using the mobile charger until it dies :)
