So i just used the Norfolk Southern Tracking system using my rail car number.

It told me that my car has departed from International ?FRE, Missouri "on a flat Car on Nov 28 @ 6:55am". I hope this means that it's heading home to MA!

Ford's expected ETA was Dec 7-13. Fingers crossed

I have ETA 12/6-12/12 so maybe we're on the same boat! I'm just south of Boston. FC didn't give me any rail car info so I'm just going to live vicariously through your info.

Is anyone in SoCal on railcar AOK xxxxxx ? Does this number mean I have to track using Union Pacific, has anybody tried it ? I dont think Ford Order tracking gives any details, just says on way to dealer and an ETA of 12/11 to 12/18 for me.

Ford Chat is BUSY THIS MORNING after the holiday weekend! I just logged in to see if I can get an update and it kept kicking me out. I'm finally waiting, and it says 19 in line.

Ford Chat says the car is now in transit, and they don't have any live location updates once it is in transit, BUT the last live location was in Argentine, KS. Just southwest of Kansas City, MO, which is where it was several days ago. She said estimated delivery date is 12/13. She didn't give a range...just that date.

Is anyone in SoCal on railcar AOK xxxxxx ? Does this number mean I have to track using Union Pacific, has anybody tried it ? I dont think Ford Order tracking gives any details, just says on way to dealer and an ETA of 12/11 to 12/18 for me.

the railcars are owned by different companies and any train company can/will pull any car.

i have an AOK number and for whatever reason none of the automated numbers have any status. my ford dealer screenshot of their VinView interface showed that the car was being pulled by a KCS (kansas southern railways) car, but they don't have any automated tracking.

Update from FC today: Like many others, the MME has been received by a carrier at ramp location 6R, Richards-gebaur, MO. The train car # is KCS 008388. The ETA in Colorado remains the same (12/5 - 12/11).

so did your MME change to a new railcar, or is this the same railcar that came from mexico? seems likely they'd have to unload/reload once the cars come to the USA?

This is the only railcar # I have been given despite numerous chats with Ford. FC could never was able to give me a railcar # while in Mexico. or before it left Laredo.

I am. I got my railcar # by persistently direct messaging ford chat until one of them gave it to me. Most of them gave me nothing other than "it's in transit" and sometimes they would say the location (MX or TX). But one person gave me a train car number. I had to specifically ask for it.

I heard from Dealer that from MO it will come to Chicago Heights in IL and then from there it will come by road truck to Dealer. Expect a 2 wk delay from ETA 12/03.

FC usually won’t have railcar #, the dealer will. The UP # will be different than the KCS #. Our cars need to be trucked from Richards-Gebaur (6R ramp) over to Muncie (6P ramp), unloaded, then loaded onto UP railcar. Hopefully, there will be no snags and we can get the UP # in a few days, When I had my dealer use VINView last Weds, the ETA was Dec. 6. Here's what he gave me Wednesday:

Some CA cars go through KC, like yours. Some not, like 23MachE above. Standard delays are a few days in Richards-Gebaur and a few days in Muncie. However, there have been cases of substantially longer delays, esp. to CA. KC is the linchpin. Once you get out of there, it’s more predictable, usually. But with a potential rail strike on 12/9, all bets are off. I‘d get your railcar # once it leaves Muncie (Union Pacific?). You may be able to track from there. Have you tried contacting your dealer for VVR or VINView? Good luck.
