Not to add to the rail/convoy confusion, but I asked FC for an update today. Though my window sticker says RA42 and Rail, FC now says it's in transit via convoy (Jack Cooper Transport) #1362846284.

Is there any way of tracking it through Jack Cooper?

Maybe Ford is trying to rush us Christmas presents to be delivered before New Years Eve that wouldn't have come in time by rail???

this status, i'm pretty sure, means the car is on its way to Augustine, KS where it will be loaded onto a train heading for Oregon. for some reason, some people have been delayed weeks (and some months) in Augustine.

i don't think we can track jack cooper anymore, but this one is a short trip.

...unless they've changed something and are going to truck your car all the way to oregon. does your dealer have VinView?

Getting a lot (not a bit) anxious here, is there anyone from batch 9217 whose MME is stuck in Montana? Mine has been there since Nov 24th and it's a Los Angeles delivery any insight/help will be very helpful. Dealer also gave same status. No access or screenshot of Vinview, that's the amazing dealer I have !

I think we must have the same dealer! I'm in the LA area and was also told by my dealer that my car was in Montana - but that didn't sound right to me. Sure enough - my car is in Missouri. My dealer thought MO was the abbreviation for Montana...

Okay, mystery solved, this is making sense again. Now if we can just solve why cars spend so long in KC.

Oregon here as well. I just spoke with Ford chat and I'm also on Jack Cooper convoy. I thought I would be rail too.

Hopefully this means we get our cars sooner!

"I see that the status of your vehicle order is "Arrived at Rail". This means the railcar/vehicle has arrived at a mixing center or ramp and is available for unloading. The railcar number displays. The carrier name displays in parenthesis. Railcar # AOK 501954 (Kansas City Southern Railway Co ) Your ETA is Dec-20-2022-Dec-26-2022."

Another parade rained on. My delivery has been consistent at 12/3-9, including this afternoon. My car is supposed to be halfway between KC and Denver. But now

My car just slipped from 12/6-12/11 to January 2023. It's nice how Ford gives you no notice, it just slips out.

I'd expect this to happen to a lot more cars if they are also currently sitting in Missouri. Also looks like I won't be getting the $7500 tax credit. I asked my dealer about a 2023 tax credit and he said Ford hasn't confirmed it yet.

Is your ETA slipped to Dec-20 to Dec-26? It is the same as mine, which was shipped on 11/25...

Yep, no one knows the exact credit next year, could be $4xxx. My dealer rep replied “I am waiting on my ford manager on this he messaged our ford rep". I can only hope the previous sighting of my car at Lamar, CO on Saturday was accurate. I have asked my rep to check daily. I have seen folks with far-off ETAs get their cars delivered much earlier. It could be a CYA sort of thing, or not.

ok i asked for an update and although there is no new status or delivery estimate, the train i'm on is actually underway. today it went from just outside albuquerque to winslow, az in ~12 hours and was in winslow at 3PM today.

looking at amtrak, winslow to richmond is approximately a 24h trip. probably freight trains don't stop as much as passenger trains, but with the weather and everything i can see how it might take a few days to get to richmond.

and then there's the question of how long the car sits at richmond. like argentine, i've heard that cars do end up sitting there for weeks. i should save these posts but i think i saw one here from earlier in the year that ford was letting dealers go to richmond to retrieve cars themselves, but have since disallowed this.

Just checking in with my status. Ordered through Fremont Ford and dealer told me the car should be getting to Richmond in the next 2 days and it'll sit there about a week and then I'll be able to pick up the car hopefully late next week. Confirmed no dealer mark up, plus the $7500 federal tax credit plus the $2000 for California clean air rebate that would all be eligible. Also on ramp CA84.

I thought the 2023 models are not eligible for California Clean Air rebate according to their website. Am I missing something?

Seems I am currently stuck in Belluve, OH per NS tracking since yesterday at 3:30pm. According to ford chat, last tracking update they have was from 12/04 and it was in Muncine, MO....

Thanks for sharing. Did That number from your window sticker help determine this? I think mine is CU84. Are we the same?

yes, i am also CU84. i think there's some debate about whether the ramp # determines a route or is only the final destination. i think maybe here in this thread there were two people with the same ramp but different routes.

i just asked the dealer if there was any update; on VINView they have a location tab that gives somewhat realtime location information for the train. that's what he sent me.
