It is kind of nice having the larger sized cards. But I don't see anything on them that I care much about. On balance, the new interface looks like an improvement. I'll probably accept it someday.
The Tire Pressure Monitoring System card displays tire pressure if you're using big cards. If you're using the small cards (expanded main screen area), the tire pressures do not display. Some folks like having the large card in the tray so they can see tire pressures at a glance without the need to call up the TPMS to the main screen.

Yes, I see that. I like it too. But for me, at least, it will not be a great loss.

All of this, TPMS card sizes, verb tense conflict, verb vs adjective use, demonstrate just one part of how difficult it is for Ford to actually change a UI or come to a point where most are happy with the results. And so far we're only talking about the small stuff we've seen from limited sources. Wait till this goes live.

But all you "unbridle" fans are still wrong. ;)

Agreed. I think most of us are reasonably happy now, but we still enjoy quibbling about the latest changes. There were only two things that really bothered me about the Mustang's software - PAAK and the backup start passcode were both very unreliable. Both of these things are now working well on my car, so I am happy as a clam.

One must draw the line somewhere.

It's still there, but it's smaller now so you have to click on it to see the numbers. Unless I missed some way to shrink the screen like you can do now. It looks like it is always in the expanded mode.
But that's stupid. In the current system, tire pressures are available when other apps (such as navigation) are in use. Why should I have to dismiss an application such as navigation, just to check tire pressure? This is a reduction in functionality.

Steve Jobs had an interesting philosophy of design. he didn't do focus groups or solicit user input when designing products. His view was that users generally didn't know what they wanted until they saw it. He also was against complexity and continually drove simplicity in design. They famously use Picasso's Bull as an exercise in simplicity. I'm afraid if Ford continues to listen to us, we might end up with the car Homer Simpson designed ?

I'd also point out information about song playing on the radio tile, navigation information on the nav map, and so on. The larger tiles are useful.

Camera access means zero to me since Ford would not let me buy the cameras. ?‍♂?

Lift gate button… ??

You absolutely had the choice to have a car with cameras - you chose poorly ? But you have an amazingly cool frunk Poodle! ?

Tiles would have been more useful if I could “pin” them, or choose what’s there. As it stands, they keep moving since it’s ordered based on “recently used” which drives me nuts. I glance down to see my tire pressure on a cold morning, and now it’s gone and replaced with the AM radio station I listened to a football game on yesterday.

Since the full screen CarPlay became a thing I stopped using the larger titles. If I need access to any of these informations I just switch the the appropriate app.

It's always the 4 most recently used apps. I agree, pinning apps would be nice, but I understand why they made this decision.

More indicative of engineers doing the work of designers.

I'm in a definte minority here, but I have zero issues with where it's currently located and how we access it. There are no situations where you can't stop for the 3 seconds it takes to call the camera up and then continue along.
I actually can’t think of a situation in which I would want to stop and peck away on the screen for 3-5 seconds before pulling into my garage or a parking spot. But maybe that’s just me.

It was absolutely, positively, not added in just the past few weeks
and yet…

It‘s absent from the version coming on 2023 cars as well. But I don’t think Ford whips anything together in just a few weeks.
and yet…

…this wasn’t present in promotional materials just a couple weeks ago. Weird thing to throw us a head fake on.
