I can set departure times in my app and it will not trigger the departure warm up to begin. This problem started when I switched from the supplied charger to a Chargepoint Flex that I received from my utility company. I got it to work a few times initially a few weeks ago, but now anytime I set as departure never happens. Any ideas on how to trouble-shoot? I checked the car and the departure times are listed there too, so the app is communicating with the car.

Hi there. This departure concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Mach-E. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

This is a widespread FordPass issue.

Make sure your utility company's charging hours don't miss the window that you're departing, if you're using them to set your hours. I use my utility company's rate schedule to set the car, so if I want a departure time outside those hours, I would have to override things (it runs until 11AM so it's unlikely).

In summary, if the ChargePoint is set to NOT supply power when you set a departure time, it won't.

This is a widespread problem. It’s not just a couple of vehicles here and there. It’s an issue with how FordPass is interfering with the car.

It doesn’t interfere with my utility event through Chargepoint, thank goodness!

After all that has been written and no action from Ford, this one post gets an immediate response, I don't get it.

On the plus side, it has been unusually warm here in upstate NY. I'm thinking that must be Ford's fix for this problem.

Yeah setting departure time in the app is a real crapshoot. Most times it doesn't work so I've abandoned its use until they get their act together and fix it.

I can set them up just fine, but it just never kicks in to actually happen. Is this the same issue everyone is having? I was under the impression that users were having trouble just getting the app to set-up a departure time? I’m trying the charger that came with the car today to see what happens and I will report back.

Update: I switched to my charger that came with the car and departures work perfectly. Not sure how much more time and energy I want to expel trying to get the Chargepoint to work, but I will try both Ford and Chargepoint customer service and see what happens

Itā€˜s probably just a coincidence since there was a FordPass update for Android today that fixed the problem.

I'm having the same issue now. I use Chargepoint Home Flex. I now have two Mach-e's in my FordPass. I cannot get Fordpass settings for Charge or Departure to stick on my new '23. I have two Home Flexes Also. My wife is using the new Home Flex with her own account on the old '21 and I'm using the first Home Flex for which I have an account to charge the new '23. The Home Flex seems to be working fine, though I don't set any schedules on it. Since I'm not sure my circuit can handle charging both cars simultaneously, I am using the SDG&E defaults for my wife's '21 and setting my car to charge at 3am after hers is done charging. It kept putting mine back to 12am start (on Fordpass too) until I changed it on the car itself. Meanwhile, my Fordpass "thinks" my '23 car is set to depart at 9am, but the car thinks it is 8:30 am. Fordpass is not talking to the car even though it acts like it did.

I'm using FordPass 4.23.1 which was released 3 weeks ago for iOS, so that isn't my issue.

Set both the Chargepoint and the MME using FordPass to have the same off-peak charging window. My utility ends their off peak at 11:59 am so my departure time (usually 7:30 am) is always in the charging window.

My utility has access to my data through ev.energy app at my EVSE but they don’t control the settings, I do.

I tried that- my utility only has peak hours from 4-9pm. The MME respects the peak hours set on Chargepoint. Usually I’m plugging the car in around 7pm and it won’t start charging until 9pm, then it’s finished around 1am. I have my departure set at 7am, but it never comes on. I tried rebooting and setting up the Chargepoint Flex again, to see if that was the issue, but no dice. The Chargepoint respects the charge limit to 90% that I’ve set, so I know there is communication between the car and the Chargepoint. My wifi signal is weak in my garage, but it’s been adequate for starting the car with the Ford app and using the Chargepoint app to start and stop charging from inside my house to the garage.
