2 days ago I was charging and got the 3.6.2 update and it charged my car to 100% (it was set to 85%). Now the percentage is barely going down as I drive. I’m showing 217 miles distance at 83% on a a route 1 which I believe should be a lower percentage at that mileage.
my question is am I going to have a problem charging it to 85% since I’m only at 83% now? Is there a fix for this? On top of that I just got the 4.1.1 update this morning.

It most likely the update reset your driving history. You may also have to clear and then save your home charging location to get back your 85% setting. Many others have reported this.

I noticed after the update, mine charged to 100% as well despite the 85% settings still being in place. I have yet to drive it, but in this cold weather (-10deg. C/14deg F) a 100% charge is giving me 415km. I'm curious what my 85% distance looks like.

Same, mine charged to 100% after receiving one of those updates. Re-selecting my home location in FordPass resovled it on the next plug-in.

However, I don't know whether driving history was reset or they made the GOM alot more optimistic because my range numbers are higher and stayed higher.
Although the higher number makes me feel better, when I look more closely and see its going down 2x for every 1x mile driven, that isn't very helpful at all.

OP, mine did the same -- charged to 100% that night. And driving history was reset. Over time, it'll fix itself again, but the range will never again be as conservative in winter. I think that was the major point of the update.

Is 3.6.2 only EA?

Did you guys pay this much attention to your range in ICE vehicles on a daily basis?
No, but with an ICE vehicle there are plenty of refueling stations available and it only takes about 5 minutes to get refueled. I do get the point you are making, however.

It might have something to do with the difference in time to reach full tank (3 X 45 minutes), and the availability of refueling stations (5 to 10 miles X 100's). 😀

Definitely on a day to day basis with a Level 2 home charger, no reason to really care. But at some point, we all end up in a situation where we might need to push towards the limits of the range. So, it would really be nice if the Nav / GOM didn't require so much personal calibration to avoid either getting stranded, unnecesary charging events, or just general range anxiety. Hopefully, 3.6.2 helps.

None of my ICE vehicles had the DTE dominate the display like the MME does. The Lightning is even worse.

The GOM just screams “LOOK AT ME…I‘M IMPORTANT!” 😂😂

No, because the chances of running out and being stranded were SO far less.
