There are many things I love about my mach E but there are a handful of things I can’t stand. My #1 complaint is the inconsistency of connecting to my phone. I swear it’s so confused! Second is the reverse light. It’s a horrible design, it’s clear no one can see it based on how many times I’ve nearly been hit. I also hate how small the back window is, I can’t see shit!!

All the software bugs. But yes, the biggest is consistency in connecting to the phone. A lot of time I have to reboot to get it to connect to my phone.

It is the inconsistencies that drives me nuts (same procedure different outcome). But ultimately it has been dysfunctional or poor basics. DCFC and Departure scheduling right now but it was no charging schedule and did not maintain itself to begin with. They are getting better and the car has always driven well when it powers on. Think it all stems from software for me at this point but the question is can the hardware take software that works and will we ever see that software?

For me get the basics right and I will deal with the phone. Phone gets under your skin take a break, just hardwire it for a week and watch it boot right up. Bad OTA and no wireless for a month recently however hardwired worked better and did the same thing.

No tow points in the back - haven't needed them, but it's a really big deal when someone is in a ditch.

My complaint after getting into an accident is that you cannot open the doors from the outside once the battery shuts off. To me that's a significant safety issue. You would have to break the window to get into the car.

Otherwise, you'll have to pop open the front bumper cover and connect the power cables to a battery source to get the doors to open.

Did the high voltage battery pack shut off power, or did the 12V battery shut off? I would think the doors would only require the 12V, but who knows knows what conditions are triggered in an accident.

I concur with the reverse light. They really need to place white lights in with the rest of the brake lights on the rear of the car.

Biggest con is that I can't set a global charging upper limit %, but Ford still uses that location based profile thing.

The connecting was a lot worst earlier, but it's pretty stable for me now after all the updates.

Sometimes, it still puts me in the guest profile, but it's actually connected to my profile. I don't know if this was due to an Android Auto bug or the car itself, but overall, it generally fixes itself now.

There's still a way to go, but maybe I have issues connecting once in 20 times now?

My only complaint is unreliable DCFC on road trips, no complaints about the car itself.

While I have never ended up stranded, I have way more anxiety and trouble associated with charging on a trip than I ever have about buying gas.

The necessary pre planning and anxiety is still worth it for the 350+ days a year where I am charging at home.

Software glitches and give me more old fashioned button/dial controls rather than needing to dig through computer screens. And add a preconditioning button to the fob and app.

Plugshare read the recent comments of your picked chargers. They can give you a clue if all is working ok or if you should pick an alternate.
