My experience is that the Range is overstated by about 20%. It quickly adjusts to more realistic range during the first 15-20% of discharge.

Our profiles were inactive for several days while the guest profile was active. :(
This happens to me almost daily. The bugs they are releasing has me tempted to dump this thing quicker than I anticipated... But putting that aside, when the vehicle isn't in motion, hold down volume down and seek forward at the same time (on the steering wheel) and it'll reboot sync. Then tap the guest profile and pick your profile. If you don't reboot you'll be stuck on the guest profile and have to wait, seemingly days, before it allows you to change it. Nothing is lost in the reboot process.

I'll try that.

Amazing Ford could not have a 'reset sync' icon instead of an arcane physical button sequence. Almost like they wanted to increase the difficulty level.

The Mach-E has terrible highway mileage! I was in Quartzite,AZ heading to Glendale,AZ which is about 120 miles. I charged up with 220 miles of range but when I got home I ended up with 30 instead of 100 left and from Palm Springs,CA to Quartzite,CA was the same way, Ialmost ran out of charge! I should of got to Quartzite with 15 miles of range left but had to U-turn and goto a Hampton to charge up enough to get ust to Quartzite. What is the driving logic on the highway?

I agree they missed up the GOM. Early on in my Mach E exp. my wife had extreme range anxiety. To ease her concern I created a quick cheat sheet she could reference the stated miles/kilowatt on the sync display and the current battery percentage. This actually eased her concern and we were able to quit referencing it since the GOM had started to predict pretty much the correct range. On long trips we still reference this instead of the GOM to plan our DCFC stops. Now that I am fully updated thanks to Ben's FDRS my GOM consistently displays the range as 247 miles at 90% Then my range takes a nose dive as I get closer to 20%. So back to using the cheat sheet to know how far to go.

IMO, that table is more accurate than the new GOM, and needs to know nothing about your driving habits to work.

The old GOM was very accurate, as far as I could tell.... unless I actually had 100 miles of unused range at 1%, as I obviously never tried to wipe out the battery to see. Yes, it was a bit pessimistic, but overall it was pretty good.

The new GOM is useless. It always starts at 270+ miles, even at 0F. Then it just decreases much faster than actual miles driven. 5 miles of in town drops it 30 miles. Previously it would have said ~200 miles, which was accurate. With the current GOM algorithm, I'd rather not even see the range displayed. It provides no value.

If Ford wanted to silence those people who don't understand about winter battery range, then they should have hidden the always-on range by default. Just show a E <-> F gauge and those people will be happy. If someone is in danger of running out, then flash a warning and direct them to the nearest known EV charger.

For us who want a realistic GOM, then let us turn it on.

I've found that the in-vehicle Nav is still giving accurate mileage if you put a route in, it is calculating correctly. Apple Maps EV routing though is being VERY conservative after the GOM reset. It wanted me to stop and charge for 5 minutes on a 90 mile trip even though I was gonna get home with 20% charge just fine. A big missing feature in Apple Maps EV routing is being able to delete suggested chargers, there's no way to do that so it just keeps rerouting you to the charger if you don't stop at it, really annoying stuff.
THIS. The GOM doesn't know where you're going, what the temp will be, how fast you'll drive, highway/street, elevation change unless you put it in the Nav. Then it will tell you your estimated battery percentage at each stage of the trip pretty accurately. I find that ABRP and Apple Maps do a nice job as well. But otherwise, the latest updates are giving you range at ideal conditions.

It seems like Ford can't win on this. Before it was people arguing how Tesla got better range in the winter because Tesla was lying about range, so Ford changed it to kinda do the same thing as Tesla but now people are complaining about that now.
