Hey Ford! Can we get mi/kWh on the instrument cluster?

I'd love to have kWh to "empty" in addition to the battery percentage. Personally this would be much more useful to me than the GOM.

So I just did a bit of research(i.e., a couple forum searches) and according to my back of the envelop arithmetic the percentage of @Jimrpa posts where "frunk" is mentioned out of the total universe of @Jimrpa posts is 8.934707903780069%. However the percentage of @Jimrpa posts mentioning "frunk" since 1-Jan-2022 is 15.789473684210526%.

It seems the obsession is gathering steam. ?

I would like the song currently playing to be displayed for safer driving so that I do not need to look at the main screen! I always check the stats in the app afterwards.

And the map. I love how my wife’s i4 shows the map on the driver screen.

I presume the only way to see consumption for those with the new UI is to have the trip log full screen on the big monitor? Right now I organize tiles so it is the first one so I can monitor consumption then tire pressure. Have to agree that recent (current) consumption numbers some place would be nice without taking the full screen of the big monitor to see them. Another decimal accuracy (three significant figures for KW/100 km) would not hurt either. Always displayed somewhere gets my vote.

I still wish they would use some of the small monitor and move the cruise display out from behind the steering wheel. Huge blank screen and the cruise so small and way over there. No problems seeing those big message boxes just the tiny stuff I use way over in the top right corner. Guess it works.

In retrospect, it really seems like vehicle makers don't give us enough credit and just dumb everything down. I mean my Girlfriend's SONDORS Metacycle doesn't even display SoC with a percentage, just bars. Seriously?

Yah, so Ford definitely could have provided a more granular and useful data set in the display. Luckily - software! At least the possibility to fix things is actually there. I think that is why I'm both critical, yet patient about the MME's shortcomings.

Wow! Great ideas! I have a feeling a large percentage of people would be happy to downsize/simplify the giant BlueCruise animation in favor of more info.

Honestly, I'd love to get rid of the lane-assist graphic and let me keep the feature on while having the less cluttered, more appealing display you get with the feature off

One thing Chevy got right on the Volt was when you turned it off, you got a plethora of info on the screen regarding all of the data.
Ford should do this.

Ford needs to Benchmark the Tesla’s or any other EV here. We just took delivery of a Model Y and instantly, all of my frustrations are gone. The Mach-E has amazing potential and I genuinely hope Ford can get the software up to a respectable level, especially the Fordpass app.

I’d prefer Ford NOT “benchmark” Tesla’s assembly quality, paint quality, device interoperability support, or particularly any of Tesla’s driver assist aids. As for what remains (Netflix, fames, and stupid shows with the car lighting system), I’d rather ford develop the advanced technology necessary for a remote frunk release ?

Well, my car IS coming up on its two year birthday ? I’d like it enabled while the warranty is still valid ? Imagine if they didn’t enable it until after 3 years and the hardware didn’t work? ?

They’ve effectively done away with tiles. They’ve been replaced with what are essentially “dynamic quick access buttons” so, yes, the only way to see useful information from any app is to bring the app up on the large window of the center screen.
