Mach-E EPA Ratings Revealed in Window Sticker!

May I remind everyone that Ford has hit the range and efficiency for the ER AWD just as they said they would. The model Y was showing better efficiency before and it is still better now. Be happy that Ford hit the mark they set and if that isn't good enough there are other choices for you including the model Y. Just stop complaining when the results are what they said they would be. Actual results are going to depend on how you drive the car.

I don't see SUV in the Mach-E at all. To me, an SUV is taller, has more ground clearance, and can tow.

While ford marketing may want to call it a SUV to appeal to current market trends, I just see an all electric c-max in a fancy frock as dimensionally they are similar, the mach-e being a tiny bit lower while a tad longer.

Um ya, I get that! I wrote the Model Y off a long time ago for that and other reasons, but I still use it as a gauge of how the Mach-e measures up in range and efficiency, particularly efficiency for me. So the Model X doesn't fit in my comparison because it's in a different class. I think that the Mach-e does OK, better than e-tron, I-pace, and XC-40, but still a long way to go to match Tesla. I'm happy that it matches Fords estimates from a year ago. Not complaining at all.

I'm saying the EPA range is low, which means the reported mi/kwh is ALSO low. I would be willing to bet that in normal usage the mi/kwh is closer to the Y than the EPA MPGe would suggest

Given that the difference between the MB S Class and E Class is about four inches, never occurred to me that two vehicles with a wheelbase differing by over a foot would be comparable. My bad.

Maybe because in most of videos I've seen they were comparing Mach E with Model Y? And now, when the range is finally out, we suddenly start comparing Ford with a lesser mileage model? I see the Mach E efficiency is a main reason Tesla's community will have a right not to see it as a real competitor, and for quite some time. Why so many of us are trying to close eyes on that fact? I ordered Mach E, btw, also because of the look and because of not being able to tolerate so many Teslas around here . But the look is and will always be subjective, the numbers (range, effectiveness) - are always objective. And yes, I just wanna be an owner of the best EV in the World - that's why I am complaining

Some are, some are not. Also, the charger landscape is going to evolve and grow, including more closely distanced locations. So even if this were the case today, it won't be the same even a year from now, much less 3 or 5 years from now.

Is your "best" based on one parameter, several, or most? I own a Kona Electric that is much more efficient than the Mach E (and more efficient than most EV's) and I am still uncertain about whether the Mach E will be the "best" for me since the Kona has set a pretty high bar. However, I certainly would not call the Kona a great-looking car. For me, the true test will be how I feel when I actually get to drive the Delaer Demo Mach E! Numbers and specs matter, looks matter, and my personal go/nogo criteria tend to fall into a category of whether I think the engineering itself is great on many or most levels. The first few months I owned and drove the Kona, I kept noticing small details where I thought, "OK, that's pretty clever" so I liked it more and more over time. Most of the deficiencies I knew about ahead of time (handling, road noise, wheel spin) and had accepted before purchase. Same is possibly true of the Mach E. I have gone to 3 tour events, have been reading this forum for over a year, and I feel I know the Mach E deficiencies, one of which is the moderate energy efficiency. How important will that be when I drive it? I don't know yet. In my mind, range and charge rate at a DCFC help to balance the lower efficiency, but will the drive itself be enough to help me make my final $$ choice? I have enjoyed a 2002 Mustang GT convertible for over a decade and it was not famous for mileage (I average 20 mpg because I drive it easy!). I still enjoy it as a Sunday Driver. I just wanna drive the Mach E NOW! (Dealer hopes to have his after Thanskgiving.)
