If that's a thing, we should shut down the forum and cable news networks. ?
I said it because they said: "We should probably close this entire thread as being inaccurate." Then proceeds to spread misinformation and be completely inaccurate.

Um, what was inaccurate? The guy on video swapped hardware to get BC 1.2.
If you have a video showing a BC 1.2 software update without a hardware change, I will be happy to amend or take my post down.

I don't have to prove that something doesn't exist. It's up to you to prove that what you're saying *does* exist. (This is true for everything)

He later clarified, hardware is NOT required, this was the only way he could get the new software version preloaded. He also wanted to keep his old unit in case the 1.2 became wonky.

There you go.

Exactly! This is why in my mind subscriptions for heated seats are not okay, but I am okay with the idea of blue cruise. Because it represents an ongoing cost of development.

..... Provided I get the benefits I've said development
Exactly. That's a big "provided."

Come on now, reddit is nearly as infallible as Wikipedia
Wikipedia is actually a pretty solid reference that requires sourced material. Reddit is not. Thank you for bringing this take to us all the way from a 2006 high school English teacher’s classroom though

The next thing people are going to say is that they could still backport the new software to previous IPMA modules, but after watching the video, I think that's unlikely. Just guessing at a high level, that the new IPMA has significantly more processing power that enables it to do smoother distance adjustments, the lane bias, and the lane changing capability (aka BC 1.2).

If you renew a 3yr BC subscription, I think you'll be buying the map updates and original functionality. Sorry folks, this is how it is until proven otherwise.

This is what is inaccurate. You made a statement that without a hardware upgrade, 2021s and 2022s cannot get the new features. You have zero basis to show that. That's inaccurate.

Where do you want the crow to be mailed for dinner when the features do come to 2021s and 2022s?

I’ll gladly give a thumbs up to the first post showing a FDRS update where BC 1.2 is put on 2021 hardware. I’ll make a new post saying you guys were right.
Until then though, I am skeptical and remain unsubscribed to the 3yr offer.

From Kyle it’s months away

"Coming Through OTA" - HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA *laughs in I haven't gotten an OTA in over 6 months voice*

But seriously, F this car and this experience. I made the wrong choice, and I am adult enough to admit it. I wanted a car full of tech; instead, I bought a car full of promises. That's on me.

Have you tried taking it to a service center to see why it’s not updating?

Well we have a few of precedents that have been set:
1: we were promised blue Cruise version 1 the ota, and it did come.. a year late
2: we were promised faster performance with sync mid 2022, and it came about 4 months late
3: we were promised Frunk button for early 2021 models, no delivery over OTA yet, but the software does exist on FDRS

Based on that, my personal take is that chances of this update indeed coming are very high. But it will almost definitely be late
