The 200kw evgos are tall and skinny and say 50kw on the front stickers and 200kw in the app and charge a mache at 70kw bc limited to 200a. Confusing af ?.

They seem quite popular around here, probably half of the evgos are that. I don't know the supplier name, i will see what the box says next time i see one.
At the new EVGO sites in Phoenix, they have an assortment of Delta and Signet chargers. There are 100kw Delta units that have Chademo, CCS, and sometimes a Tesla adapter. The Signet units are 350kw but are power shared and also have Chademo connectors. Those look similar to the EA Signet units, but slightly smaller. They also have a few of the Delta 350kw units with 2 CCS cables that can be used at the same time, but in the shared case they are limited to 175kw.

I get 160-163kw peak on the new EVGO 350s in my Mach-E with the ER pack.

How flat is the charge curve on the EVgo 350kW? My experience with the 100s is the curve is very flat at between 69-71kW up to 75%, then it drops quickly. Just wondering if it’s worth going to a charger 4 miles away to have a faster charger, especially that they price it per min.

I'd say it's identical to a (working) EA 350.

I tried charging with a 50kw EVGO charger. It was a short squat one. It charged at 33kw. I pulled out my trusty OBD2, and saw it was 100a and 500v. It was delivering 100a at 350v which is how it got to 35kw.

Obviously, 70kw is a lot faster than 33kw, so finding a 200kw charger delivering 70kw is a heck of a better deal than a 50kw delivering 33kw.

You really can't do any kind of non-frustrating charging without knowing the key information delivered on the OBD2 port. Still hoping Ford does an update to the charging screen that says how many amps and volts are supported, requested, delivered.

Here is a label from an EVgo 350 kw charger station installed in Nov 2022. I got 145 kw on my EX pack starting at 20% SOC when it was 28 deg F.

This thread helped make all this make sense. The charge cable max Amp capability makes a huge difference. If it's a lame cable (many of these have 198 Amp cables), then the only way you're getting to the 200 kWh rate is if you have an 800-1,000 Volt build. Our Mach Es are 396 (lot like max capability of a house), with most of the time actually between 350-365. So, take your volt x Max Amp of the machine (the lesser of the machine and the cable) and divide by 1,000 and you'll likely find the answer to that equation is about what you're seeing on the screen, depending, of course, on the SOC, batt temp, weather conditions, and whether the machine is sharing power w another station. So, for the 200 kWh EvGos near me, it's (365x198)/1,000 = 72.3 for just about max I can expect. Most of the time, it's around 66 and floats to 69-71 around 50% SOC and then close to 64 until I hit 80% and then the MME throttles down to the mid 30s. For EVGo, most of them are by minute, so definitely take that into account - that extra time vs. Stations pumping you at 121 is also extra $.

I have never seen a 200kw EVGO charger. I have charged on a 100KW charger limited to 200A, and it tops out at 75kw, as expected. The 350Kw Signet chargers at EVGO will provide more than 150kw. They are 175kw when power shared.
It's all about the cable for the machines claiming 200, 350, etc. While our MMEs aren't tagging those numbers, we can know what we will get just by a look at the cable or the specs on the side of charging station. Just know EvGo is cheap on their cables, which is why most of the time EA 150 kWh stations perform better for us than the 200 and 350 EvGos.
