I've been saying this since the beginning: the 5s limiter is a really good indication that Ford wrung every last drop of performance out of the power system they can reliably get. I was hoping the Shelby announcement would include a new battery system and increased performance, but I knew that was all but a pipe dream. Hopefully this at least puts to rest the idea that anyone's going to be seeing a significant OTA performance increase to the GT.

Honestly for the price they are charging, I would have half expected them to have repackaged the Lightning SR drivetrain into the Mach-e. That would be a big torque bump and it has no (real) issues with throttling.

I don't know, Shelby was pretty famous for putting his name on anything for a buck in the 80s. There was a Shelby Dodge Lancer and a Shelby Dodge Omni....

Does lowering and weight reduction count as mechanical improvements? I see nothing on the EV power train, and that price seems steep (even for Shelby) for what is effectively a lowering kit, some new wheels, and a graphics package.

Nothing that joe bob can do on jack stands in his driveway counts What a disappointment.

Having owned several of them I can tell you it's a lot more than a sticker package....

I find those arguments annoying and I'd still be inclined to agree with them, based upon no power train improvements.

I'm sorry - BORLA+stripes should not cost 25K EUR. I was hoping to see that Shelby would work on car itself to remove 5sec limit, change charging speed and etc..... I placed graphics myself for much less

Nothing to see here folks, i seen better Mach-E s from our members on forum. Disappointed kind of but not surprised. Borla sound system is a work in progress, borla speakers below car for sound dont look waterproofed.

Wow…. What a disappointment. It’s all wrapping and the cost does not justify what you are getting. I think you are paying for the Shelby name. Nothing to improve the power, handling, or braking. In a sense this is a 100,000 Euro car. I expect more than a stock car with some “lipstick” for that price.

€25K for some stickers and wheels? For that price, you can get an unassembled Shelby Cobra kit.

What a shame. I really don’t think that Shelby couldn’t do something with the MME, I just feel like they weren’t sanctioned to do so. It’s okay Ford, someone out there will pick up the torch and unlock the true power of the GTPE, it might just take a few years. Now we know that this is what Shelby has to offer, I hope it encourages some modders out there to see what they can do.

If Kia can get the EV6 GT to have greater range, and power seats, even though it’s a Kia, that might be my move.

Can't give mach-e's full throttle for a full 1/4 mile Ford ICE mustangs would start to look like a joke.
