So for those who aren't aware...these are 'coordinated' updates and both fall under the 'cruise-control' umbrella. So when you pick either one you'll be notified that "multiple updates will be performed", meaning both the CMR and PSCM. Let's say you also had the IPMA and IPC in your currently available software list for some reason...they would also be brought to the party.

But today for me (and others here I'm sure) there were just the two.

That CMR is no joke. Mine took a full hour and I went from hardware and software revisions "-XH" to revisions "-XL" for both hardware and software. (using the PL2320 the voltage did dip down to 11.9 by the time it was done).

The PSCM took seven minutes and went from hardware revision "-BB" and software revision "-AM" to hardware revision "-XBB" and software revision "-DB".

I don't know how those revs square with other MYs or trims yet.

Both of these updates initially did not clear and I had to re-run the network test about three times to get them to drop off the list.

At the end of programming I did get a shotgun blast of DTCs, but after I ran the "Clear and retest" everything came back "green".

Saturday's seem to be Mach-E update days don't they? I don't know what the official release schedule is but we seem to get a lot of new releases on Saturdays. ? Or is it just late Friday night?

I never received that PSCM that came out and was supposed to fix the right lane bias. Maybe this is it being re-released?
I got that other one on Feb 18th. This one is new for me.

Yeap the camera one was no joke, although mine cleared after the flash before running a self-test.

It was interesting also to note that both the CMR and power steering module had a little difference in the flashing process -- they both had you turn off then on accessory mode before verifying that the flash was complete by testing each component.

Nope. I did eat a full sandwich and some potato chips while flashing, but that appears to be the only benefit so far of my time spent.

It seemed typically Ford was releasing new updates earlier in the day on Fridays. Early or late in the day, Fridays are probably generally the worst day they could think about releasing an update .... if anything goes wrong, you have to deal with it on a weekend (if you care).

I’m trying to wait for an OTA before doing another FDRS but nothing yet. Files are building up.

Which one are you waiting for, 4.2.5?

That's the only thing I can think of possibly coming as an OTA from this list:

I’m waiting for 4.2.5 plus future OTA’s
Didn’t know I had so many files to update.
I guess I’ll do a FDRS update this week.
thanks Mike

I managed to mess up power supply during the CMR update.. so now I now that the update process seems to be somewhat more fail-safe than expected.

My power supply failed to supply the current it is supposed to and with one backup supply I only had 10A of current during the update, and sometimes even less. During the update voltage slowly dropped and was at about 8V (measured at battery access terminals) when it finished writing the one hour update. Was about to "pull the plug" on it during the following "internal process" since I expected to be a failed update and just waited for a timeout. During last minutes the door locks almost did not work, the pumps was running so slow they almost made no sound, frunk light was flashing on and off.. .. but it still managed to finish the update with no error eventually, but the car was almost dead after, not being able to go into "engine ON" mode. So could not enable the DCDC, it would not accept HV charging, and the "battery" symbol would not go away from the IPC. Even sync screen went to "power saving to converve battery". Expecting that the battery controller was not working and not being able to switch on contactors in the HV battery. It took a few long minutes until I got the voltage up to around 10V before it was able to turn on again, and it immedidately fired the DCDC at 150A which immedately got the voltage up to 14.5V.

After clearing error codes all seems to be fine, no more available updates. So now I know what can happen if it runs out of LV battery during update.
