This update is hitting my car now. I am in EA and I got 4.2.6 on Sunday. It is strange that there is no version number assigned to the update.

let us know if your charging curve changes!

i love how ford refuses to tell you what they're doing to your car with these updates lol
They need to first have clearly labeled and consistent version numbers. Not this ambiguous, out of sequence malarkey.

I had a problem with one of the new EA Signet single cable chargers. It would cycle through connecting to the vehicle and initializing charging. A non-Ford vehicle had not trouble using it. I used one of the EA single cable chargers before without any trouble. So maybe Ford found a compatibility issue with some of the newer DC Fast Chargers?

I searched for this update name on Google and the only reference (as of this afternoon) was this thread and this random site of TSB's: https://www.aboutautomobile.com/Tec...in/2022/Ford/Mustang-Mach-E/Electrical-System that seems to show this update with TSB date of Jan 20 and a date added of Feb 6th. Curious if there's curve improvements or just logic for better handshakes. Doubt it's curve but one can dream...

I heard that this update reduces the 20-80% charge time to 10 minutes.

No I didn't.

We actually don't have any idea what it does, but I am sure it is awesome.

I'm in EA and our car is keyed up to do the update at 1am.

I'll take any improvement we can get. We have a trip to Chicago next week. Our long trip in our Lightning went well but the low pack voltage of the Mach-E has me nervous about charging stop times.

you work in their communications department or something?

what was the tweak? how will it be more reliable or performant? what aspect of performance?

i don't see the purpose in defending what is clearly an intentionally vague message
Again, I read the word “tweak” as bad news.

If it were an improvement, they would say something more positive.

If your boss “tweaks” your paycheck, I don’t think you’d be happy with the results.

I’m in EA. Just got 4.2.6 today and no evidence of this being queued. ?‍♂

This is an OBCC update (DC charging communication module) that brings software up to LJ98-14G684-AP.

This will not change the charging curve or speed, it only fixes the way the car talks to DC charging stations to avoid DCFC errors with some types of stations.

Do you know if this fixes the “reconnecting to vehicle” loop at the new EA stations? It would be nice if I didn’t need to schedule a trip to the dealer to get that sorted out.

I don’t but it might have, somebody needs to go test it.
