FYI the CMR update only takes 20 minutes with a VCM3. If that was taking 3+ hours, it means you have an inferior J2534 device or some other issues slowing things down dramatically.
I actually think something was wrong the whole time. My CMR has not been updated at all, so it also continues to work. No errors noticed and all functionality of the car is still there. So i was looking at a hanging process for 100 minutes

I do use a mongoose cable, so it should not be slower then the 20 minutes you mentioned

But pressing cancel during a flash is always tricky and i would only resort to this if something else was wrong like the voltage

@mpshizzle maybe it is time to update the FP ? For example you mention 30 Amps and we all know that this is to low.

Maybe it is my lack of searching ability in a foreign language, but i cannot find the link to the clamps (under the frunk for securing the plastic protection above the battery) on amazon anymore. I seem to have lost quite a few of them already. Can somebody please repost it here ?

I got my car back from the dealer yesterday. I let them do the BECM and HVAC updates, so I'm hoping the recall and CSP will now disappear from my VIN (eventually). They also listed 21G01 on the service order with a note saying that the BlueCruise updates weren't available, so I'm hoping that one will disappear too. We shall see.

How in the world do you get your dealer to update this stuff, unless it's due TSB's or such. My dealer just laughs at me. I told him I do them myself and he glared at me LOL, I glared back hehe!

There's a recall for the BECM and a CSP for the HVAC. Technically, the versions in those bulletins were already applied by me a while ago, but the dealer didn't know that since both had newer versions available. They just apply the latest versions and mark the recall and CSP as complete.

He knows someone did it by looking into history, what ever your user name for your account for the license can be seen!

Sure, but they'd have to look in the history. They have no incentive to do so. Especially since updates for the affected modules were available. The bulletins don't usually even specify a firmware version. They just say to update to the latest version available.

The fact that the completion flags don't clear when updates are applied by owners is pretty silly. Ford knows that the updates were applied. Insiders have said that they are supposed to clear, but that doesn't seem to be working right. I'm sure it's not a high priority for Ford to fix.

Yesss ! Thank you
Here it is on Ford's parts site here in the US.

The mention of the Raptor is because that "pin" is also used on the fender flares of the F-150 Raptor and they just left the text in there I guess.

Oh, and don't go looking for "Frunk" or Front Trunk on Ford's parts site, you won't find that. It's called a "Load Compartment".

Most service advisors have no idea how FDRS works anyway, or even if they do, like you say, the motivation isn't there (we'd say "Can't be arsed", back where I come from ? )

I have same error updating CMR

FlashSoftware CHECK VALID APP FAIL (the first time, the progress bar freezes at F188 ML3T-3G604-XL, internal operation in progress...) I waited for 3 hours but nothing happened.
