The battery is outside, underneath the car... And, it is equipped to cool itself when necessary. With window closed, the inside gets really hot.
I have a garage, but not convenient to make the space and get in and out every day. This week I had to drive at 5pm, I could barely sit on the seat, so I'm thinking to park inside now. The weather was not very hot here, but the heat accumulate, if I leave window open a little, I may forget for a rainy day.I live in Texas and have had my MME Premium ER since last July. I don't have a garage so it sits outside. This week it will be over 100 every day. The car has had no trouble with the heat![]()
Do you leave it plugged in to run the battery cooling fans?I live in Texas and have had my MME Premium ER since last July. I don't have a garage so it sits outside. This week it will be over 100 every day. The car has had no trouble with the heat![]()
Good point, I should try to open the window remotely next time. You can easily have the car run the A/C on hot days before you get into it. Just use FordPass to "start" the car 5-10 minutes before getting in. Don't worry about range impact - the A/C uses very little energy. You might also want to consider getting cloth seat covers.
I do not leave it plugged in. Should I leave it plugged in even when almost fully charged?Do you leave it plugged in to run the battery cooling fans?
