And in the meantime using an adapter will be (IMHO) a minor inconvenience. We've used a tesla to j1772 adapter on our Tesla OEM charger w/o issues.

Having the NCAS port on the front right of the car would be pretty smart of them to solve the problems of the short cables at the tesla superchargers stations.
Having it in the same spot as Teslas would also be smart. But if I were to guess, it will probably end up exactly where it is now, and the CCS port will be gone.

If they moved it, they'd need to redesign the door, and how do you redesign perfection? ;)

If they were to take away the CCS port what would they do with all of the other charging networks under Ford Blue oval that use CCS

I think moving it to the right front (directly opposite its current location) would be a reasonably easy swap. But we shall see (in about 15 or so months?).

Give/sell you a NACS to CCS1 adapter, which already exists

oh no we're going to lose access to EA and evgo what will we do, said no one [with supercharger access] ever :p
Ford made the move to open up their cars to all DCFC chargers in order to gain parity with Tesla. Whether you like EA or not, the fact is that being able to charge anywhere is what everyone needs - customers and manufacturers alike
