I didn't get to test drive an MME prior to taking over an order in late May 2022. I had seen one in person at a dealership but it was not available to test drive. We one we found was going to a dealership in Greenwood, IN. They expected it to be delivered in mid-July 2022. In the meantime, I made a list of questions and started looking for answers on internet. Nearly every search result brought me to this forum. So, I joined the forum and started looking at nearly every thread. I learned a lot during what turned out to be a four week vice six week wait. The 2022 Select arrived at dealership earlier than they expected and we took delivery on July 1, 2022. First thing we did was drive nearly 500 miles from dealership in Greenwood to our home in West TN. The MME performed flawlessly during the trip which included 3 DCFC stops (plug and charge worked every time). Since then I have put 22K plus miles on it with minimal issues (stuck OTAs for a short period of time, headlamp switch will be replaced next week, and I paid to have the HVBJB replaced late last August). My choice as I drove an average of 180 miles each day to and from work. The 2022 was built in April 2022. I liked the 2022 so much that I ordered a 2023 Premium in August last year and took delivery of it in December 2022. I now have nearly 15K miles on it. No major issues on it either. Overall, I am totally satisfied with my MMEs; I understand not everyone has had the same experience as me. I have had my share of bad experiences with Ford Mustangs; my 2012 and 2014 GTs both had to have the engines replaced due to bad design issues, which Ford finally acknowledged and fixed. Since those two Mustang GTs, I have owned a 2016 and a 2021 Mustang GT with no issues on either one; I have also owned a 2017 Focus RS which did have a recall done to replace the head gasket; and I have owned a 2017 Shelby GT350 and a 2019 Shelby GT350R with no issues on them either. I'd like to say thank you to everyone that participates on this forum for the help and information that each of you have posted whether it is a complaint or complement about the MME. I have learned a lot about the MME so far and look forward to learning even more. Good or bad, I love driving our MMEs. They are not high performance blistering fast sports cars but they can be driven in a spirited fashion lol. Sorry for the long post.

Just wanted to share that I’ve had my Mach E for almost 2 years. It’s been great in every way; reliable and trouble-free. I realize most forums are used for people having issues or registering complaints. This tends to create a feeling of overwhelming problems and provides a biased perspective for both existing and prospective owners.

I wanted to write a positive comment, and share that I have not had to get service or repairs, I have had no problems that I am just “living with.” I have 20,000 miles on the car and the tire treads are still great, the PAAK works fine, etc.

Not bragging; just trying to share that some (who know how many) of these Mach-E are performing perfectly and as expected.
Thank you, I too have no complaints, 18months. 18000 fun miles, love the car.

Yes. 2.5 years in, and all we got was a camera button, the knob to control temp and fan speed, and a more confusing button location for the trunk. No other UI changes even though customers have lots of good suggestions. The fixes for minor bugs end up getting delayed indefinitely. I don't think they give a damn about improving the existing product anymore and laid off the people that could have. Lesson learned. With Ford, what you get on day 1 will be 98% the same three years in the future.
I like both of those things a lot. The one big item that I can think of off the top of my head new feature wise that would really be useful to me would be if Ford creates a dynamic drive mode where you can pick and choose the various aspects of Whisper/Engaged/Unbridled into your own mode. I would essentially want to apply Unbridled steering to Engaged.

Otherwise though, not to be a debby downer, but I think car updates will probably be like phone updates in the not too distant future. Manufacturers will figure out what features people want/like and incorporate it onto new models from Day 1, they’ll figure out an interface that makes the most sense, and the updates year-to-year will be pretty minimal.

I was using the 08' Corvette as an example of the crap that many Domestic brand vehicles put out in the market along with establishing that nothing much has changed since the mid 70's. Fast forward to today and we still have issues.

The Prius does/has had issues and I welcome the information in knowing that from those that drive said car. Just out of curiosity, how many Prius cars have you owned? You seem to know a good deal about them. I have owned 6 and I have owned 2 Mustangs. I take no offense hearing of the issues of said cars that I have owned. Unless you can speak from personal experience, I will take your assessment with a grain of salt. ?

The MME is manufactured by a Company that has been around 100 plus years and they still have quality issues that are quite glaring.
Dude, I googled it and came up with plenty of articles. EVERY car has issues, so don't pretend that foreign cars are perfect - the same tired reiteration of domestic vs imported quality doesn't go very far with me. You say you don't want comments to be based brand loyalty, but clearly you have significant bias of your own. Good for you; neither of us is going to convince the other.

I'm done the conversation.

While I have very few complaints (most of which are first-world minor issues), I have two issues that are not. Most people would also consider these first-world issues. Both revolve around power handling. One should not exist for newer cars (HVBJB failure hanging over your neck). The other is the 5-second limit. Overall, these are not issues most people will ever encounter or care about and I think the car is great. ??

EDIT: My brand loyalty belongs with a defunct manufacturer, so I think I am being relatively objective. ??

You should consult your dog about brand loyalty because his is with Ford, specifically the MachE according to this article:

This is my second MME this year (by choice, upgraded recently). I love this vehicle, it's my 2nd favorite of the 22 vehicles I have owned since '99 (the first is my Lincoln MKZ). When I got my used '21 GT, the HVJB had just been replaced, now on my '22 GTPE I have that hanging over my head, but with a manufacture date of Oct 22 it isn't as dire as the earlier models.

Other than a few minor software glitches, I have had no issues with either vehicle. I have had other vehicles, like my '11 Dodge Charger RT, that spent most of their time in the shop, so I am happy with this one.

I don't really have brand loyalty, I buy what I want without regard for manufacturer, but when I look at my list, KIA (4) and Ford (5) are the prevalent manufacturers I have owned from.

Other than being embarrassed when I discover something blindingly obvious about the car, not much to complain about beyond the kind of stuff I always complain about in every vehicle.

1 year and 15,000 miles on, I'm OK with that.

I'll join the list: 25 months and 6.7K. Only minor complaints are some design choices by Ford (biggest is the unmovable rear seat).

20k miles here and nothing to complain about, the car drives great and is still a headturner. Most glitches have been fixed through software updates which finally see to be coming thru at an increased pace here in Europe. It still puts a smile on my face every time I get in and drive.

We have a 2021 GTPE with mostly positive ownership in almost 2 years. Only con was susp and 12v battery faults fixed by dealer on dealer only updates. So far seems to have worked. In Apr we bought a model Y, great price and supercharges in 15 minutes 150 miles. Superchargers are everywhere and work 99.5 of the time. Traveling is anxiety free. Its AWD long range with 20 rims and get 300 miles highway at 65 mph. Very nice traveling ev. My wife liked it so much I got the GTPE. Love both.

To be honest, brand loyalty means nothing to me. If someone wants to tear apart a car I own, I simply nod and say, I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your car. I usually follow up with either these didn't happen to me or yes, I am having the same issues.

With that being said, I welcome the complaints here on the forum. To hear that someone is happy with their car is like saying I am going to visit my Dentist and tell them that my teeth don't hurt. ?

I personally want to know what to look out for and what to do in case a break down would happen. I didn't build or design this car so I take nothing personal about the defects or the non-defects if you will.

In any event, I am glad to hear that you don't want to complain about a car that you spent thousands of dollars on just a mere two years ago with 20,000 miles. (as it should be with any car)

Start a thread in 10 years and 100,000 miles and if it still good, you are on par for most cars on the road.?

I've got ~16 months, ~23,000 miles, and absolutely nothing worth complaining about.
