Nearly all dealers use a glass shop. Mine told me they broke about 1%. Anyone who breaks them all is a hack.
Or they are doing it wrong. Supposed to use wire method for removal as per recall.

All glass shops should know how to remove a windshield.

So much for needing 5 days to get the windshield and parts for the recall work. nearly 3 weeks has gone by and they supposedly still have not received all the parts necessary to do the work.

Thanks. The dealer said windshields tend to break during this process, so they typically just replace it, thus the need to order a replacement windshield before they can schedule the work.

This MME was built in December 2020 and first delivered to the original owner February 2021. It has 2 key fobs already and is on 4.2.6 software (I don't think all the other FDR updates were done though).

They are a very big dealer in CA (they currently have 300+ new vehicles on their lot including over 100 new MME's). so I'm surprised they don't provide loaners.
Mine wasn't replaced, though I wish it was. It did take them a few days to get the gaskets or whatever.

Wonder if they can start blaming the war in Ukraine. UPS seems to use that as a global excuse for shoddy shipping (not sure why they'd try to blame that for a package going across town...). I've also notice FedEx just flat out fails to track a package 3 times in a row. I'm sure dealers are getting hosed by this as well having no idea things showed up weeks ago unless someone in shipping walks it over to them at the dealership.

4 months after reaching out to Ford, still do not have recalls done.
Wasted another 1.5 hours at the dealer today. They said the parts arrived on 9/7. Took nearly a month to schedule an appointment to do the work. Brought it in this morning for the appointment, 1) they didn't have a loaner available as promised, 2) they tried to get a rental car that Ford authorized but could not get any from local rental car companies because they forgot to schedule it ahead of time. 3) They noticed they ordered the wrong windshield just as they pulled the car into the shop. Apparently they ordered windshield for a non-blue cruise version. Not sure how they can mess that up when you put in the VIN # to order the parts.

Now they have to re-order a windshield. They said windshield are now in stock and should only take a week or so to get in stock. So they now say they will call me on Friday when they (hopefully) will have the correct glass, to schedule the work again.

What a joke. Ford corporate customer service isn't any help either.
