The profile doesn't randomly switch to Guest, but it doesn't figure out who the drive is either. If I select the seat position it switches profiles just fine... It used to select profiles based on which PAAK or Fob opened the car. Somewhere along the way it lost that association. I need to see if I can figure it out or if this is now universally gone.
Oh wow, I never knew it even did that at one point. That’s my partners biggest complaint is that it doesn’t grab the profile based on PaaK and we only use PaaK (our key stays at home).

[*]At top left of the Home Screen there is a clip art house button to open the app tray (which Ford sometimes refers to as the Home Screen even though it is not a Home Screen - it is not the screen that comes up default, it is an app tray.
[/LIST]
I don’t understand why they don’t make the icons the same as the CarPlay one. Like let’s make the main buttons blue but make the CarPlay button blend in lmao.

I agree with the home icon too, it should be an app tray icon.

Would you recommend I leave it running for 4 or 5 hours when I get home tonight to try and get it to the 90? Thank you for the tips.
Mine failed this morning. I think this is the first time it has failed to update. I am pretty sure it is because the LVB is low - my car has been sitting around a lot lately with only a few short local drives here and there.

It would be nice if the message about the failed update actually included the failure condition.

Anyway, I am going to charge up the car, and as soon the charge is finished, I will try the update again. The LVB should get pumped up during the charge.

I really wish they would give details on the failure, too! Mine was sitting all day, drove to work in the morning, got in the car to do the update via FDRS at the end of business and it still went through.

It does appear that Ford has now fixed the remote start to guest profile bug, but evidently this happened sometime ago - it was never in any release notes.
I never really had the remote-start-guest-profile bug until I got the 4.2.6 update back on May 26th. Now it happens 95% of the time. So I do not think it is fixed. Though someone else said that with 4.2.6, it fixed it for them. I here to say it fixed for some and introduced it for others.

I know what you're talking about, but the ACM update didn't add it. They can add things like that separately without it being an OTA. The timing is just coincidental. Some people got the feature before the ACM OTA has happened.
My experience can corroborate what you are saying.

Got to love this 'fix', it first breaks the radio presets to supposedly fix them. I lost all my presets on two profiles.

The MME has so many things to like but Ford's software, dealer experience, and lots of mechanical issues (4+ months in the shop over two years) has broken my love for the car. 22 months and its going back to Ford under the options plan.

  • Ford still has not enabled electronic frunk access for 2021 J1s despite us having the same frunk latch actuator as everyone else.
Yep. First thing I checked.

So today my frunk opened on its own. Obviously unrelated, but got this update last night, drove to work this morning, went back to the car 30 minutes later to head to a meeting and frunk open message pops up. Sure enough, FULLY open, not even the first release, like I could completely lift it up. Yay.

No, I have nothing in my frunk at all, and even if that release was hit, I believe it just opens the first latch, not allowing it to fully open. I did not touch my screen on the drive to work, so no accidental touch of the frunk button there. No key that can open the frunk, yet.

Congrats- let’s see how long before Ford acknowledges this one

also looking forward to what some of the folks say that don’t believe any OTA breaks something and how would Ford know anyway

seriously, sorry this is happening- if it’s you, it will be others also.

let’s hope it gets corrected quickly

Is this fixing the issue where sometimes it just starts on a scrambled AM radio station and blasts my eardrums out?
