I was missing the second row of buttons in my iOS app as well, but I had PaaK enabled and functioning. My issue was a Ford login server issue where they would not allow non-alphanumeric characters in an email address (even though the characters in my email addy are perfectly legal). It took Ford 4 months to fix that. It should not exist for your account. Make sure you have PaaK set up and capable of starting your car. ??WOW, you guys are way ahead of me, my android phone app only shows horn and lights icons.
No windows up/down, no hatch/frunk icon for my 2021 MME Premire I guess 1 out of 5 isn't too bad, maybe next month huh?
If your phone cannot be used as a key (not as a remote start device), it does not have PaaK set up. Can you open the door with your phone locked and in your pocket? If no, you do not have Phone as a Key set up. ??What do you mean, I can start the car via the phone just fine. What else is there to do outside of another OTA update
Does it say Setup Phone as a Key below the start button? If so, FordPass doesn’t think FordPass has been setup. What do you mean, I can start the car via the phone just fine. What else is there to do outside of another OTA update
Last I heard on the subject was that the FordPass people were planning on adding that capability when a certain (unspecified) percentage of Job 1 cars had the necessary updates enabling the electronic frunk release. There has been no change as far as I know in the plans regarding pushing the module update via OTA. There may have been a possibility, at one time anyway, that the modules would get an update during the BC 1.3 suite of updates. So far that hasn’t happened.
If job 1 owners want the electronic Frunk release, their best bet is through a dealer that will perform the updates, either for a fee or free. If they’re waiting on Ford, they may be disappointed. In my case, the dealer won’t update even if you offer to pay absent a bulletin, CSP, etc. from Ford on the subject. Which also hasn’t happened.
They need to update the BCM, the GFM, then run the “Enable Center Display Screen Hood Release Soft Button" routine. It’s not a particularly long update I’m told but could be a bit pricey depending on your dealers shop rate and minimum.I spent an hour with Ford Customer service last week to get an update on Frunk. They could not provide any updated information; there is a lot more details here in the Forum. Ford recommended I contact the dealer (as per your message), however, my dealership has no idea what I am talking about. I will take some of the details from the Forum and return to the dealership to get this Frunk button update completed.
Yes, this sounds right. Here are the instructions from Ford:I got into it as far as " turn off share vehicle data" per your instru. but that statement is not listed anywhere under any tab. It wants me to set up "fingertip recognition and password" to continue. How I got to this point I don't know but is that supposed to be a step in this process?
Wow, you're a very patient person. Wasn't it obvious after 5 minutes that they weren't going to be of any help?I spent an hour with Ford Customer service last week to get an update on Frunk.
Android 13Question regarding those who recently had the Frunk button appear in Ford Pass. Do you have IOS or Android?. I have IOS and had the dealer updates plus my own ForScan update (for the Sync Screen button) but am still waiting for the Ford Pass button even though my car has all the OTA updates including the radio button one. I also tried a forced stop of Ford Pass and rebooting my phone several times.
